Hello NamePros community! We are creating a single thread where we can share announcements in, talk about product updates, people can ask questions and host a great discussion on all things domains!

How long does it take for a domain won at auction (backorder) to be delivered to the account? I've been waiting 3 full days now.

Hi, just passing on something I had which might be occurring with others. I purchased a premium domain but had not set my default WHOIS details in my account. That was stopping the transfer in. Just passing on as it might be happening to others and wasn't really clear when purchasing that we had to do that.

Sav does strive to provide some of lowest domain costs in the industry and does make changes from time to time, although the bulk of the time the prices go down. NET was just lowered to $4.88 for new registrations this week and COM new registrations remain unchanged at $6.95.
First off, if you are responding to my message above, how about a modicum of courtesy and actually address me?

I asked directly about .IO pricing and the retrospective application of new prices to previously agreed backorders. You have not replied at all to those questions.
The current price is always displayed before the drop on the My Backorders & Pricing pages and when a user places a backorder more than a day before the drop; we email them the then current backorder price a day before. We also offer a 5-day refund period for caught backorders to cover things such as last minute price changes.
Is it not common business courtesy and good-practice to notify customers like me - with 100's of backorders in your system - to let them know that the price you quoted and agreed when I placed orders just days ago was now being retrospectively increased? I have all the emails where you state the price at which the backorder will be charged.
We encourage everyone to check https://tld-list.com/ for a registrar price comparison. Sav is currently the cheapest place for unlimited new registrations of COM, NET, CO, IO and many more.
Sorry @Nick R, but not communicating this price increase AND retrospectively increasing the prices on legacy (2 day old) backorders without agreement with customers is unprofessional. I want to give you and SAV the benefit of the doubt, and you deserve kudos for engaging here to help your customers. But I'm seeing a pattern which suggests SAV as a company has some pretty serious governance problems.

yeah yer cheapest for io but by margin nearly insignificant to most.

nobody chooses registrar over 1 or 2$ savings.

anyway I predicted u wont be able to keep these prices way back. then i predicted a mass exodus.

starting to get the "Congratulations on choosing the Afternic Premium Network for the promotion of your domain names. Your domains are registered with an eligible Premium Network registrar." and on after shows "No (Opt-in Required)".. so so happy!
... still cant approve under sav.com/marketplace but happy to see progress.

They replied, but still haven't answered issue, at least a good sign they replied. When something is time sensitive, a registrar/marketplace should be able to correct soon.
I had the same problem. More than 48 hours no answer for tickets. They are not in a really intention to support customers. Godaddy, Dynadot, Porkbun and Stablehost can respond to my tickets no more than 24 hours, mostly issue finished in the same day. They are from different class from this.

That's great to hear! This should be going live on both Afternic and Sav this week. More to come soon!!!

@Surya Giri Kurniawan - I replied back to your DM

Thank you @Nick R for auctioning the afternic fast transfer integration. Do we need to do anything on our end to prompt the opt ins?

When I disable Privacy - nothing happens in WHOIS even after many hours... It doesn't work at all.
Tested at least with .info and .life domains.

but then why did supporut say this...

afaik, DNSSEC is incompatible with parking but maybe things have changed recently?

Since I see you're using Bodis, better contact them (Bodis) and ask how DNSSEC works with domains parked with them.

If DNSSEC is "on" for your domain*, it may break when the parking provider doesn't implement DNSSEC. If that's the case, you can remove "DS records" for your domain at your registrar in the DNSSEC management section and wait some time before it's propagated. These problems will then disappear.

* Sometimes DNSSEC is still on when you acquire a domain - as settings may be inherited.
