why does his name always remind me of the smell of "Brut for men" on a hot summer's day in a packed subway car with no AC? lol

eeewwww. is that Elon Musk I smell? hehe

probably not him but a news agency. Depends really how how much they paid. the guy is about to become the world's new Trillionaire. once he starts mining those asteroids!

Does it really matter who it sold to ? The number that it sold for is my question

Highly doubt it, it's more likely an impersonator/scammer purchased it.

Just let them take it imagine yourself trying to defend a claim is what most are thinking. Seems can't chase every individual everywhere so some lose house car wife and pants and some get 50k. Or someone silly enough.

I bought it lol. I wrote Elon a letter it's up on the site right now.

Serious message! Tweet a link (without story) on Joe Rogan's and Coindesk twitter account.

Regards

An interesting, an expensive and an amusing attempt to get a celeb's attention. The law doesn't allow profiting from a celebrity's exact match domain name. I'm not a legal guy and don't remember seeing such a use so I don't know if this letter qualifies as that or not. You'll get attention and maybe this'll reach Elon. He'll either be amused, sue you or decide to partner with you. The third option seems very unlikely.

I think my main problem with your letter (besides the length) is that you don't seem to be offering any value to Elon besides being the guy who bought a domain and wrote an amusing letter. Had you been a great artist with impressive and meaningful art, this would have been much more interesting, IMO. The entire world and its sister are now trying to mint anything under the sun. Elon can mint any NFT he wants, it'll be a hit and he can donate all the profits to any cause he wants so why should he mint a video of you fist pumping strangers or a blue circle? Because you bought an expensive domain, wrote a similar tweet to his 9 years ago (the dog vs. god pun is quite well known) and have an idea about a mostly non-profit business revolving NFTs? Don't know, man. This is the age of entertainment and crazy things can always happen, but the likeliest scenario is that you spent a whole lot of money on a publicity stunt. Good luck though. Gonna be interesting to see how this story unfolds.

Thanks, you're right, the third option is crazy. But the world is a crazy place nowadays. There's more I have planned regarding my idea. I feel fairly confident in myself, otherwise I wouldn't have dished out the cash for this very expensive email.

More to come. Follow me on twitter if you'd like to see it play out I'll follow back @Yugosavianguy
