This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Today's little sale. Afternic BIN, hold time 5 months.

Interesting thing, lately Afternic actually adds some + on my prices, this was set at 299 by me - think its because of the traction

Note: If you haven't read it yet, check my latest pricing post, might be useful

Seriously mate - just set up your own Twiki reported sales thread :xf.smile:

People then can comment and ask questions and you can build a cult following here on Namepros :xf.wink:

OMG - now you got me worried... never thought of this; was intended for encouragement for those who have no or little sales right now - the last thing I'd want is to be that. Perhaps I should stop posting sales :xf.confused:

Please don't stop posting your sales. It gives inspiration to many and shows that with hard word, dedication and a keen eye we could all be following in your footsteps. With so much doom and gloom in the world we can all bask in your afterglow. You'll probably start sleeping on your money instead of a bed like Scrooge McDuck....quack...quack...quack

It was a tongue in cheek comment - no harm intended

It's difficult to express (supposed) humour with words :xf.smile:

As people have already said....DON'T stop posting!

No worries - I knew no harm intended.

Now - Shall we all stay on topic from now on and only report sales next? We definitely don't want to dilute this thread. Thanks!

I have a question and of course you don't have to answer if you don't want, do you set a min.price or keep it $20 as default?

It varies, but never $20.

When I start with a new TLD and unsure yet of pricing, what will sell, etc - I use min offer = 50% of the BIN.

At this time I'm using BIN only, no min. Either buy it, or not.

It works well for me but you need to be pretty sure about the price you are going to use. Otherwise, it's probably the wrong option. Too low or to high, you'll be losing money. So min offer is probably be best option for many, not to mention having the possibility of negotiating and also learning more of that.

Side note I tend to use min offer >$200 whenever possible = dont' want to deal with'em lowballers (at all).

Edit: Anything above $150 tends to weed them off; $200 is great, $220 or something even a better "cleaner".

Edit2: Also using min offer on any domain priced above 3k.
