@bmugford agree erase Dr. Suess from history? Nothing surprises anymore, with leftists. Even the left-central are coming back.

Suess was a Liberal-Democrat :xf.wink:

Orwell and Einstein were Socialists,
Doesnt mean they’re 100% right. :xf.wink:

True. As brilliant as Einstein was, he was wrong several times. That is how science works.

The brilliant mind Issac Newton was wrong about several things also.

The ability to admit you are wrong when new data and evidence leads to a better understanding or theory is a key part of science.

Currently, the concept of racism especially in America, but spreading like wildfire in Europe, is incomprehensible. Books are censored for meaningless details and drastic actions are taken... just because the fucking leftists say so. Are we evolving or regressing?

Throw them into a big pile and burn the books, as the Nazis did .... fucking totalitarian leftist philosophies are back again... with a lot of evil power!

You sure have a selective memory when it comes to banning books. There have been almost countless occasions over the years of conservatives calling for bans, boycotts, or burning books.

In fact some books like Harry Potter were burned by all sides. They were burned by some churches because of the witchcraft aspect, then burned by others because of JK Rowling's transgender comments.

You have the burning of one book uniting so many different people.

Either way, burning books is stupid and accomplishes nothing.

There will always be fringe groups calling for banning books. The difference now is that these are no longer fringe, but mainstream demands. There is really no comparison between the two. No Harry Potter books were removes from the shelves. No publisher blocked them from the market. A few weird churches burned a few copies. Woo hoo.

Ironically, Harry Potter's author is now under heavy attack from the left for having the barbarity and obvious unscientific lunacy to say that only women can menstruate. That's just outrageous.

A ban would require the government to make buying, selling, or owning something illegal.

If a retailer chooses not to carry a book that is not a ban. No retailer is forced to stock an item. There are endless other retailers or venues that you can buy something. It is not real hard to find something with the internet.

Like I said, I am not for banning books in general. The free market can decide, outside the most egregious examples of public safety or illicit behavior. ("How to Make a Bomb", "How to Cook Meth", etc.)

"Teach children peace of mind and non-violence from an early age, and through dialogue, we can solve any problem", the Dalai Lama says. “The big nations should pay more attention to ecology, I hope we see those big nations who spend a lot of money on weapons and war, now turn their resources for the preservation of climate.”

https://www.channel4.com/news/series-6-episode-13-the-dalai-lama

(19:40) Question: "Your Holiness if you could change the world any way you want, how would you change it?"

Dalai Lama: "We need concert of oneness of 7 billion human being, we see too much emphasis, my nation, their nation and my religion, their religion... that really causing all these problems, even today due to religion, different religion and different nation is fighting, so now we really need oneness, a concert of oneness, of 7 billion human being in order to live happily, peacefully together...ignorance is the source of problem."

You keep hanging onto that technicality, though the distinction between government and business is becoming smaller every year. In the near future, it won't matter at all.

While it's true you can still get a copy of Dr. Seuss, it's also true that you can access banned websites in China. But the ban is effective enough to throttle information and help control public opinion. It's the overall trend toward closing off options and putting bottlenecks on the flow fo information the public can receive.

Whether it's the government doing it or a corporation, the end result is similar.

Hey guys. It's March 4th. The big day is finally here!

Q told me that Donald Trump was going to be sworn in today as President. As we know Q has never got a prediction wrong. :xf.grin:

Sorry, that was a typo. Q has never got a prediction *right*.

I wonder where the goalposts are going to be moved to after today. Any guesses?

It is some ridiculous theory tied to the sovereign citizen movement.

The fact that you have never heard of something is irrelevant. Google it. It has been all over for the last several weeks.

That is just a lack of awareness on your end.

Argument from incredulity, also known as argument from personal incredulity or appeal to common sense, is a fallacy in informal logic. It asserts that a proposition must be false because it contradicts one's personal expectations or beliefs, or is difficult to imagine.

Google something that I've never heard of, or interested in.... why should I do that?

BTW, Google, like the rest of Big Tech is the enemy of the people!

I provided some convenient links for you.

Your lack of awareness is your problem. It is just incredulity on your end. It has no correlation to something existing or not.

Because conservatives (what's left of them) only "Act" like they don't know about Q.

They know.
