How are Crypto Currencies going to empower Humanity as a whole and end poverty across the World. How is replacing the existing financial systems with the new Digital Currencies going to help end inequality and prevent the “Haves” from taking advantage of the “Have Nots”.

Replacing one instrument of slavery and oppression with another one that is going to do the exact same thing doesn’t sound very logical to me.

Is everyone in the World going to be given equal number of Crypto Currencies to start with. It’s my understanding that the total number of Cryptos are finite and are currently concentrated mostly in the hands of just a few people who apparently are going to be the new oligarchs and billionaires of the future.

If there is going to be a revolution in our financial systems it has to be one that’s of benefit to the Humanity as a whole and not one that is going to preserve the inequalities and hardships that currently exist.

If we are going to get rid of money we might as well replace it with a new system that provides digital credits to everyone based on their actual needs calculated by AI according to different factors and criteria that give top priority to making it possible for everyone around the World to be able to live a decent, healthy, productive, safe, and happy life.

no one knows where btc or cryptos are going

no one who bought btc 10 years ago knew it..and no one knows today either

crypto owners like to think they know Future... or that they have control over value.. but their control is none.. btc can drop by any amount tomorrow... and none will know why or control it...all we can do is accept it..like the good slaves we are..

we can argue we do not control usd either. but we all know btc stability and predicitability are not even in same universe vs usd..

all in all... I'm just gonna be buying here into the theory that btc is a powerful algorithm running at CERN that's only aim is to make poor poorer and rich richer... really if we look at what btc has done so far overall .. meaning for most people... then this theory is close to fact.

but hey it has been rich folks agenda forever to get even richer. over our dead bodies. so this doesn't suprise me the least.

I am trying to figure out if and how Crypto Currencies are going to fit into the idea of the World ascending to a higher level of thinking and existence that is going to end all that has been ailing Humanity and our Home Planet for so long.

Money is arguably the most important concept in the world. Not dollars and cents, these are just units of account, but an accounting system for tracking the value of a persons time and energy. It allows for specialization that leads to exponentially more innovation that has changed the world for the better, decreasing poverty by 90% in the last 100 years. Getting rid of money would be a huge step backwards for humanity and lead to more centralization, oppression, and poverty.

The concept of money helps prevent oppression; however, forms of money that are controlled by a centralized entity allow for excessive corruption, theft, and control over people leading to oppression. Money that is controlled will not allow people to hold a form of money (Gold, USD, etc) that accurately represents the time/energy they have used in the past. The centralized money can be devalued, which devalues the time/energy of a person without their permission. Sound money is a human right just as much as the right to choose how to spend your time and energy.

A system of money will have the greatest benefit for society if it allows for individuals to control their own time/value and the money that represents it. A system of digital credits will not only be completely centralized, but it will take away privacy which is another basic human right. A cashless society will require compliance with the powers that be or people will be cut off from the system. Not only can their time/energy be devalued, it can be assigned a value of 0 unless they opt-in to oppression.

Bitcoin is a system of money that trades on the free market. Bitcoin has similar properties to money based on gold, and there is no need for a custodian which led to the centralization of gold and the abandonment of the gold standard. It is volatile because it is not centrally controlled and is still in the initial phase of price discovery. Society decides how much it is worth. Any asset that is undervalued will make the people that own it richer. Money controlled by a centralized entity is designed to make the rich richer and the poor poorer, either by design or in effect. Money controlled by the free market is designed to allow all individuals to be paid in a form of money that accurately represents their time/energy. Over time, Bitcoin will be distributed to more and more people as they start to demand being paid for their time/energy in the form of money they prefer.

The concept of money allows you to transfer your energy through time. Bitcoin allows you to transfer your energy through both time and space. The value of this is still highly underappreciated. It may not be the final form that money takes, but it is a quantum leap forward from any form of money we have had in the past.

well my post answered the if part ..

they will not help. because imo cryptos and btc are a mega ai algorithm running at CERN which is designed to grab people's wealth or last pennies.... and based on how many people so far lost value made money on btc or crypto... it is filling its task splendidly.... cause for everyone who makes money 100 others get poorer from it.

I'm not aware of any reason to expect Bitcoin being controlled by CERN. Please let me know if there's anything to read on the subject.

I would argue that what is happening in the world right now is an attempt to extract wealth and grab people's last bit of money. Rich people usually own assets that appreciate with inflation/money printing. Poor people usually have cash in a savings account that depreciates with inflation/money printing. The current situation is also destroying the lower and middle class ability to earn money while at the same time protecting and enriching corporations and wealthy individuals.

Bitcoin is an opportunity to hold a form of money that isn't being printed into oblivion to save a dying financial system.

Maybe a better way to put it is that Bitcoin is a chance to opt-out of the system that is actively trying to extract wealth from citizens.

How do you justify the fact that most Crypto Currencies are currently concentrated in the hands of a few lucky people and early adopters which will put everyone else in the World in a big disadvantage not mentioning those who are going to be born in the future which will have to live under the influence and at the mercy of those who have already acquired most of the digital wealth. That sounds like the inequalities, oppressions, and taking advantage of the people at the hands of a few are going to continue and not end since people are not going to be on a level playing field.

The idea of Digital Currency sounds good as far as people being compensated for their energy and time equitably and fairly, but the way that Crypto Currencies have started now by getting concentrated in the hands of a few people kind of kills any hopes for seeing any major improvements over the existing financial systems.

As @alcy already said it seems like the rich are going to get richer and the poor are going to get poorer just like the way it is right now where the majority of the wealth is concentrated in the hands of the top one or two percent and everyone else has to work hard to serve them and be content by any scraps that are thrown at them (which is a form of slavery).

I have a hard time seeing how all the current inequalities and oppressions are going to end when the wealth is going to get transferred away from the existing oligarchs and millionaires to the new digital oligarchs and millionaires.

The only way that I can see this work is perhaps to put a limit on the number of the Digital Coins (or Bits) that each person or entity can own.

The notions are misguided. There is no such thing as ending poverty across the world.

Exploitation of one group by another is endemic to nature.

Equality is a social construct and not achievable (or desirable). To the extent it is, so it must repress outliers and the gifted. Stifle progress and dissent. Marxism and Leninism are toxic ideologies that correlate with genocide.

The idea of "humanity as a whole" is a coca cola form of water. It's ok to drink sometimes, but it is not really water and will rot teeth. Rather we can celebrate biodiversity, learn from the adaptations people have made to disparate ecologies and even, to some extent, look back and forward in time by observing how life is lived in different places.

Agreed. Bitcoin is about leveling the playing field, not leveling the stats.

cern or elsewhere.. it may well be an ai invented to grab peoples money...that it is doing this is actually a fact... when looking at who made and lost money. it is also a fact that most wealth of any kind is in hands of few..and its same for btc.

also a fact that u have exactly zero control or say where yer btc value will go tomorrow... it is unstable and unpredictable. which makes it a terrible investment.

never put money into it u cannot afford to part with forever.

a lot of facts. mostly bad.

We have zero control over the value of any asset trading on a free market. If demand goes to 0 then any asset becomes worthless. This is possible even with "risk free" assets.

Classifying Bitcoin as a terrible investment is not based on reality. Anyone that ever bought Bitcoin and still holds it has made money because it is at an all time high. It is the highest returning asset in the last decade, and for almost every individual year in the last decade.

A bad investment is one that the buyer doesn't understand. A revolutionary new form of money will not mature in a matter of months or even a few years. The timeline for holding such an asset should be much longer, and anyone using that methodology would have done very well.

yes of course u can argue that we have no control over usd value either... but if u put btc and usd value predictability and stability in even same galaxy then u clearly have no clue about either.

and yes I know all about how btc made some rich..apparently u too ... but plz get yer facts straight before u post bad advise and ruin more peoples lives cause they will buy btc based on yer words .. if u cannot understand the simple fact that it has ruined more peoples finances and lives than it has helped or made richer or rich... then might as well keep quiet.

the odds and stats do not lie. btc is an casino bet...and house always wins.

take care now

Conspiracy theories and emotions are not the same as facts.

I'm sorry if you or others lost money investing in something you didn't fully understand. There are lots of great resources online for learning more about Bitcoin, as well as several books like The Bitcoin Standard. It is much easier to understand why it can be useful in the future once people have a better understanding of basic finance, economics, psychology, the concept of money, and the existing financial system.

How are Crypto Currencies going to empower Humanity as a whole and end poverty across the World.

There are people who can't be part of the current financial system. Women in some countries may not be allowed to open bank accounts, operate their own businesses or have job for either laws or social oppression. Fees of credit cards, bank accounts, etc. are too high compared to crypto currency transactions. Those fees actually create some poverty and make small transactions impossible. Paypal is not an option in all countries. In some rural places there is no ATM or bank branch. A poor woman in such a place with no bank account or credit card can get paid and spend her cash with only crypto currencies.

Who knows , Crypto trading is totally banned in my country.

Crypto can technically work everywhere. Ban can not stop Crypto usage. That's likely the reason of why most countries have not clearly banned, but have chosen to limit, regulate, monitor its usage.

What happens to all the poor people around the World who don't have any Cryptos, are they supposed to serve those who have amassed thousands of them already.

Unless we give the poor people a few Cryptos each so that everyone can start at a level playing field I don't see how Cryptos are going to help the poor.

We are changing to digital currency, but it seems like all the old inequalities are going to stay in place. I guess we can call them "Digital Inequality" from now on.

What is working class doing? Aren't they serving those who have amassed millions or billions of dollars? If they were not able do serve them, would they be poor for lack of income?

Again, do we give a few dollars to working class to start at a level playing? No.
Those people supposedly can sell their stuff, do online works via sites similar to fiverr, can do domaining
can be bloggers, etc, and can get paid via crypto currencies. We don't have to give anyone a few Cyptos.

Crypto currencies remove payment related reasons of digital inequality. Millions of people can't shop online, can't get paid. They don't have credit card, paypal, etc. Crypto currencies are the only option for those people.

I don't have any thing against Crypto Currencies, I just don't like the fact that all the Digital Coins are concentrated in the hands of a few who are going to become the oligarchs and millionaires of the future.

So nothing is going to change as far as the top 10% owning all the wealth and the rest of the people struggling to make a living.

I was hoping that the digital revolution would put an end to all the oppression and inequalities that currently exist.

You are complaining the reward of first movers. It's irrelevant to crypto currencies, bitcoin in particular as it's the first one.

If we had a chance to return back to 1990 we would hand register all 3L .com domains. So first mover reward is not specific to crypto currencies, hence it's irrelevant and could be safely ignored as we ignore we can no longer hand register 3L dot coms but register what is available now.

Crypto as a tool has been a huge help to regular people undergoing government oppression/censorship recently, see the amount of usage recently in Nigeria/Estonia/Venezuela.

A few years ago, coins like Nano had faucets that were solved with CAPTCHA's - most of the users doing them were in Venezuela and Indonesia and made enough to support their families with it full-time, and helped raise people out of poverty. There are loads of similar stories.

On the other hand it has been kinda like the dot com boom for my generation, lots of younger people who had not much money/hope before finally making it. Only recently are big corps jumping in (which is a double edged sword in the long term).

I am not complaining,

I am just making a point that if we are going to change the current system there has to be some improvements that are going to be of benefit to the Humanity as whole compared to the way that things are right now.

It's not just Crypto Currencies, any advancements in technology should be used to make life better for everyone rather than just be used by a few to oppress and suppress others more.

This is perhaps a difference in philosophy as far as if you think that everything is fine the way it is now or whether Humanity as a whole needs to ascend to a higher level of thinking and existence and enter a whole new era that is based on showing compassion towards others by ending all the tools of oppression and suppression.
