I was surprised to learn that a domain I own has traffic. It was a hand reg with a hyphen. I did not expect any traffic.

It's just 75 views per month so nothing to build a business on.

Are there other hyphenated domains getting user views?

Is there an easy way to put any new domains somewhere where I can get the traffic stats on them?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I only tried handreged once, when a new computer-related technology was introduced in mid 2000. I let expire the following, no traffic.

Yes, it is possible if the word is trending due to some reason (festive season, politics or games etc). In many countries especially in Europe people still prefer hyphenated domain for better clarity. I hand reg one domain 15 days ago (original not re-registered from deleted domain) and now it is showing traffic 10-15 per week which is very good for a new domain and the reason I observed is that the domain is related to travel and nowadays because of the beginning of holiday season I guess people are searching it.

If you want to know more detailed information about traffic put your domain at Bodis parking and tag it with your google analytics.

Disclaimer: If the domain is valuable, brandable or related to any existing brand than please do not use or use parking at your own risk as nowadays many UDRP cases where domain owner lost the cases are due to such parking and similar advertisements.

@ArielT I don't think it was a site before. I should probably check where the traffic is coming from.

You can also link Google Analytics to DAN and monitor it that way.......

The only reason to buy a hyphened name is due to the popularity of the keywords which should be the same reason dot net org is taken without hyphen.

@NickB Do you use multiple IDs, one for each domain?
When I used it for Efty I followed the below instructions - works for DAN as well......

"A data breakdown per domain name can be viewed using the hostname dimension.

Here’s how to do that:

You navigate to Acquisition, Overview in the left-hand menu. Once you are there you can see traffic per source, Direct, Referral, Organic search, Social etc. Click on Direct (for example) and then under Other, you type in: Hostname. Just like in the short video below:"
