@emadpino Great to hear!

Just to keep everyone up to date, we pre-auth credit cards for the bid amount when new bids are placed on Sav. When the auction is over, we immediately void those pre-auths which immediately sends that void command to the bidders bank. In the US, it typically takes banks 3-5 days to process that but may take longer internationally and for some banks. If you ever see a pre-auth not reflecting in your bank's account, you can usually check with them and ask them when the pre-auth void will be processed. In this case, it looks like it just took @emadpino 's bank a bit longer to process than usual.

SAD with SAV's policy. Domain was auctoned off at $1 when I bought for $6.95. WHY?

@effervescence Without knowing the domain name or account, I am only guessing here, but I am going to assume that you registered a domain on Sav then started an auction for it. Assuming that is the case, we start all auctions at $1 (or $1 + the transfer in cost if not at Sav) then let the Sav community decide the true value of the domain is based on what the final bid ends at. Feel free to reach out to [email protected] with specifics they can take a look at the exact auction.

I'm having consistent issue with payments via credit card lately, since about 2 weeks or so. Basically only the first 1-2 payments get in, then it shows the error "unable to process payment". I've seen that changing the amount sometimes allows another extra buy to get in. I usually make 10 purchases or so each day, well, I have to go to other registrars.

There's no issue with the card, also stacked with cash. Also hours later same card works fine on the same Sav website.

What's going on? You're losing sales.
This exact thing is happening to me as well. I've emailed support several times, but it has continued to happen every day for the past 2 weeks Now it says "Payment method was not able to be pre-authorized for the bid amount."

There should be a reserved price for auction

I am writing to express my concern. That's all.

In my case, the several payments I do in the drop window trigger a "security flag" so the card is temporarily blacklisted. You can purchase more like an hour later, but that doesn't help when you have to get freshly dropped domains.

Since Sav doesn't have in-house credit, I'm using Paypal for now as an alternate.

What I don't like in this case is that I'm paying more. PP does convert my national currency to US dollars at their high, inflated rate. Extra 2-3% in fees. So it's far from a good solution.

Edit: I can only do two purchases, or in many cases just one purchase before I am cc - blacklisted. This system doesn't differentiate between current clients and new buyers/cards, same card being used every day for more than 1 year, hundreds of domains purchased.... that's cc "security" against own customers.

@Namebie - It sounds like our Buy Now listings may make sense for the domain you have in mind. They allow you to set a fixed price and list for sale.

@effervescence - We do appreciate the feedback!

@twiki - If our system does flag your payment method for potential "fraud" on the auctions platform, just reply to the email we send you to arrange payment with that and we can manually re-process the original payment - not a problem. PayPal is a great alternative but unfortunately we do not have control over their exchange rates.

You can't arrange payment. Couple minutes later that domain is taken by somebody else already. So there's nothing to pay for anymore.

Perhaps I misunderstood - sorry about that. Feel free to DM me with specific details and I can take a look.

I purchased 3 domains with them. I have added SEDO TXT record to these domains. The TXT records doesn’t seem to propagate. They are neither showing up in MXTOOLS. The tech support seems to have no idea what they are talking about. No resolution till now. Below are the three domains that end with GLTD.

@Nick R

On Sunday I won a domain at auction, had an issue to pay, fixed the issue the same day but SAV has not re sent the payment request since I won the auction

I ask because it seems there are 2 business days to pay

I've already emailed support today but no answer so far
