I got into domaining two months ago, buying up around 10 domains to start with. Only one of them was one I won at auction here on NP for $5. I kept it on Dynadot and put a $1,000 price tag on it and forgot about it since I became focused on other ventures. Much to my surprise, I got an email today from Dynadot saying the domain sold. In just month month, I made my first sale, and at 190x profit!

I owe thanks and gratitude to NP for teaching me about domaining and helping me get started. I can now use this money to invest in a better domain portfolio

congratulation for your success. but for future keep in mind before buying any domain ....
1. brandable domain
2. google indexable
3. checking domain history by wayback archive
4. trademark issue
5. selection one or two words domain preferable
6. select niche domain
7. domain backlink dofollow more preferable
8. check domain blacklist
9. domain hosing data etc.

you could help the new owner by obfuscating that name a little bit.

that's an interesting name that i would not have bought in 100 years

Congratulations you deserve all the best(y)
Thanks! I got it because I believe within the next decade, it will be possible to access dreams and record them, which can lead to a massive industry.

OK and a nice $1k sale

Am I the only one that keeps re-reading that Posted headline as a massive $XXXK plus sale that's not there

It's that 190X investment quote has us all working in the thousands is my excuse

Well, looks like you weren't the only one believing that. What dreams may come. You've got your finger on the pulse and a bright future. Well done.

I bought the domain for $5 and sold it for $1,000 in a month.

Congrats on the sale!
Thanks! To me, that sounds like they have in mind to use it for recording dreams, which is what initially drove me to get it. I saw a Black Mirror episode about the concept a few years ago and saw that this could soon come, especially with some more recent developments in the tech that I have become aware of.

Congrats! The same thing happened to me 2 months ago. I bought a name online for $3 and listed it for sale on GoDaddy for $25k as a placeholder for me to change in the future. I forgot about it for a few months until i got an email that it sold. I was speechless...

Many Congratulations, In Fact, one of my sales was like that. Out of surprise, I got one sale with the domain least expected, so I didn't put much value into it.
