I am fed up with PayPal's policy towards Sellers. If a fraudulent Buyer files a false complaint of "card used without authorization", you funds will be frozen and ultimately after protest and protest, you will get an answer from PayPal saying that they believe Buyer's credit card issuer is right. Your sales amount will be refunded to the buyer plus you will be charged $ 10 as Backcharges fees! Ridiculous indeed.

I sold a domain name to a buyer through Ebay. I pushed the name to his Godadday account and he accepted it and deal was over. After two months I am getting an email from PayPal stating that the Buyer has filed an unauthorized use of card complaint, the amount will be frozen till investigation is over. I sent all the proof. After one month PayPal sent another email saying that they believe the Card issuer's stance, hence the amount will be refunded to the buyer and fee of $ 10 will be levied towards chargeback. The fraud took away my money and above all I need to pay a penalty of $ 10. NO ONE IS THERE TO QUESTION THIS EXCESSIVENESS? BECAUSE THEY ARE THE MARKET LEADER. PayPal is like a Cancer, we have to live with it, even if we don't like it.

Even the big sharks like Google, Facebook do not have guts to start a simple alternative to PayPal. The laws are also blind towards its illogical chargeback fees and exorbitant commission we have to pay to them while we receive payments.

Anyway, back to my story, I contacted the Buyer and send him all the communication that he had with me. Next day I received an email from him saying that in fact he received the domain name and he already sold it to someone else, the complaint was done my mistake, he took someone else as me; and he promised me that he will call his credit card issuer about the mistake.

I promptly sent this message to PayPal. No response from them. One month over now.
PLEASE ADVICE ME HOW I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK FROM PAYPAL. Thank you.

Heard of bitcoin? It works like money ....

But I must say I believe you should be mad at the buyer who scammed you. Paypal does not deserve your hate in this case.

it has nothing do with pp

if u can't use another pay method on ebay that's safe then do not sell names on Ebay... almost no one does... so especially with complication like these why even bother with a crappy name selling venue like ebay...save herself the headaches... there are enuf sale venues for names..I think u know.

its lost money ...but hopefully lesson gained for all

Don’t use PP for domains unless you are trading with known entities like here. Don’t sell domains on Ebay. There is always a risk of fraud on Ebay with any digital sale.

I agree with Hollywood its not PayPal’s fault it is the buyer. You don’t do a chargeback by accident. That involves more than one click. He is lying. PP cannot be expected to eat chargebacks and not pass that onto the seller.

Why should I not blame PayPal? They believed a fraudulent buyer and penalize a honest seller. By the way, what is their Seller's Protection? Here clearly the listened to the wrong person, still they did not compensate me.

PLEASE ADVICE ME HOW I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK FROM PAYPAL.

The money doesn't belong to the buyer and doesn't belong to you, so you don't lose money

You lost your domain. In this case it was stolen

So my advice is contact icann and original registrar and new registrar

see what they can do, with your evidence

The buyer has admitted that he received the domain name, he confessed to his mistake of false complaint. How can you say that money does not belongs to me? It is PayPal's responsibility to protect seller's interests. They should take action on buyer's account and pay me as they promise to as per Seller's Protection.

ask the buyer to send the money again

What do you expect if he has received the domain, and the money has been returned to him. paypal can't do anything

I know this is paypal's mistake, you should call them dont email, call!!

Often sellers are the one who faces the brunt. Anyway, move on but keep resolving your issue.
