The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It's about how you believe it. If you see bigger potential on it, then don't sell at $500. If you personally ask me i see on it a value around low $x,xxx. But it's personal opinion. Also, if you need money desperately, it's a good move to grab the sale as it is. If you have money back up and you are decisive, you can lower your initial demands and aim to $800-$1500 range.

plus I'll add he made his 500 almost 1 month back...so I actually thought this would never go anywhere..

other than this this name only had couple low xxx offers in the years. here is pic for the fun of it

so the curiosity here for me and this thread is more along lines of the name itself... potential uses and applications.. and thus whether sale potential here is solid or not...

strong words. care to say why this is so obvious to u when non prem often silly co names regularly sell for more?

Time travel is a strong generic term in English, but there is no viable product for it, so that may limit the market for the domain. Let me say again I think the term is strong.

Does $1000 make you happy. If you spend more time on it, will you get more or not?

If you don't have a happiness goal in mind, you will forever be chasing happiness.

If you want to take all their money I think there are easier ways than domaining to accomplish that.

P.S. i dont think you want to take all their money its just an illustration.

I have seen divisions of companies spend five figures monthly on Google Adwords campaigns or even six figures on IT projects. So when occasionally we see a report of an end user paying $25k or more for a domain which is uniquely valuable to them, it is not that surprising.

If several companies have developed a commercially feasible time travel solution, I suppose time travel domains would have end user value in promoting the product to customers. Tourism pre-covid was a huge industry - flights, hotels, cruises, excursions, etc. How much revenue could a time travel company generate for trips to observe notable historical events? How about government entities which might want to intervene in history? But returning to reality, why would would anyone pay a premium price for a domain like this? Maybe for a video game? In this case the domain is not even a .Com so I would say take the money and run.

Other people explained better than I could, but it is a generic sci-fi term with no products and a .co at that. Sure there could be other end users, but even then I wouldn't price higher than your current offer.

the buyer is a timetravel

well that's partly the problem isn't it... that blockchain is pretty safe bet for being the future. whereas timetravel is not hehehe

The other way to look at it is that if time travel was actually possible, it would have already been snapped up by now... or maybe the guy you are now negotiating with IS that time-traveller!

EDIT: Jesting aside, time-travel into the past is pure science-fiction and defies all known physical laws.

true...well no namebio action on timetravel anything either... more power to buyer if in future he will get bigger offers... unsure if reseller... but even endusers often decide to sell if juicy offer comes in. I think I sat on it with little action long enuf...renewals adding up too on co

Sorry I couldn't help with this before.

That's because the only limitation to my domain time travel machine is I can't use it for anything other than dot com domains :)

I just had an offer for 5-chars .co in few days ago, for 500$. But I believe it should be better, I rejected immediately, so now I voted you keep it until it raised to 1k+

This can be a good brand for many things. It comes in my mind a few uses, sell vintage things (like a travel in past) or new technologies (travel in the future), and more I can't thin now. It is not a .com of course but has potential.

Did you checked the other extensions to see who the buyer could be? Sedo gives you some clues you can use to investigate a little...

It is real simple would you buy it for $1,000. If not take the $$. Or you could say how near to 1500 could you get? You could sit on this name without an offer for 5 years another offer. Regardless the sedo buyer could back out regardless even if you agreed to a price.

I strongly suggest not to lower down the price when you don't get a response from the buyer. You may communicate but there is no reason to lower the price when there is no counter offer coming in your way.

With the current situation, even if I want to sell it, I will stick to what you last quoted and remain quiet.

I looked at two word combos for .co at least 10 characters long.
At $1k it would be the 11th most expensive name of this type in past 2 years.

well, actually somebody from the future told me that .co does not exist any more ;)
