Hello NamePros community! We are creating a single thread where we can share announcements in, talk about product updates, people can ask questions and host a great discussion on all things domains!

Sav uses Cloudflare, one of the most reputable and largest DNS providers, for all domains at Sav. We do provide a web portal within accounts for easy management but its actually just remotely controlling Cloudflare via their APIs. I believe "Powered by Cloudflare" is on the site in a few spots.

The current issue is that the Cloudflare API call to setup a new domain looks to down as it is not accepting any new domains via the API. There is no effect on domains with DNS already setup.

Being that we do not have insight into the internal workings of Cloudflare's system, we have reached out, provided all the details to them and are just waiting on a resolution from them.

We are working with Cloudflare who is actively reviewing the issue. We believe it should be back very soon.

the 2FA is not working at the moment.
By defualt you send text message to edit the Nameserver.
I tried to update a NS for the past 15 hours and I am not getting the text code on my phone. I have pressed resend so many times. I had to issues earlier, but it has been a probelm since yesterday.

I dropped an email asking the support to manually update the NS but nobody replied yet.

For now, why not disable the 2FA for DNS update?

Hi Nick,

I see that there have been issues with 2FA earlier as well?

@jk23 - An update on Afternic FT for .CO: We have all the code written and completed the testing to put this live on our end. Afternic is requesting another round of testing in a specific registries OT&E environment which we don't integrate with at this time. We offered other testing options that work the same way which would allow us to go live with this right away but they declined. Due to that, we will be doing an integration with that OT&E environment and hope to be ready to start testing again in just a few months. Our current development priority is an update of the domain management UI including a complete set of bulk domain management tools!

@ecomslice Payments are done through the same shopping cart on Sav now.

@davidc1 Yes, you can sell domains that have a ICANN lock on them with two notes: 1 - We may as you to update the domain's nameservers or whois if the buyer requests. The payment to the seller will be held until the domain is transferred into Sav

@alcy - We did but it was in a private beta and only accessible by some users. Now, its open to all users! We use a different provider for payouts and support many methods such as ACH, Wire, Paypal, Check and more! If you want to sort domains right now, just go to the Reports tab and export a list. You can sort it any way you want. Native sorting in the web UI is part of the bulk tools/update UI we are working on as we speak.

so when u payout paypal is it mass payment no fee to seller from paypal like gd sedo etc...or there is pp fee?

also buyer cannot pay paypal right?

seriously... I meant sort and bulk options via site... not some run around spreadsheets . .. but I guess it ain't happening... and so u remain a second choice registrars to most ..because of 1000 small things that add up to one nasty bad taste in the mouth

@alcy Payout fees vary based on country and payout method but start at as little as about 20 cents per payout. The big release we are actively working on is bulk tools and advanced sorting in the web UI. If there is anything I can do to make your Sav experience better either now, or in the future, please do not hesitate to DM - i'm here to help!

so its 4% fee to u plus 5% fee to paypal

believe me its not 20 cents for 99% of world...

total 9%

suddenly it's not best rate

sorry to say

do u offer other cheaper payouts? like btc or cryptos at zero extra cost beyond the 4% to u? ty

Fees all depend on the country and payment method. The most popular payout method is an ACH payout within the US. That fee is a fixed 50 cents. So, if you sell a domain for $500, this 50 cents is equivalent to 1/10th of a percent.

thanks you.

tips for everyone, get transferwise account, accept any currency and convert crazy cheap.

@ecomslice Wire Transfer fees are a fixed price but they are more expensive than an ACH and have fees that vary per country. US ACH is the most popular payout method used though.

most world pays paypal 3 to 5 percent... your 50 cents must be for like 1% world population..or less...in short it doesnt count

do u payout btc?

I see you have a "BIN" Landing Page and a "10 day Auction" Landing Page

do you have a "make offer" Landing page?

@alcy I an assure you that the most popular payout method is US ACH on Sav however, it seems like we are beating a dead horse here. We do not pay out in crypto.

@frank-germany - I know this is a heavily debated issue on NP, and the industry in general, and have seen many people both for and against "Make Offer" domains. As of now, every domain on the Sav marketplace does need to have a list price or be in an auction which has a current bid.

I'm just looking for alternatives to Sedo Afternic DAN

I Just sold a SAV.com reigstered domain on DAN.com . Very surprised to know DAN does not support SAV.com domain push. The domain was registered a week ago. So transfer out is also not an option.

So if the user doesnt agree to wait out the 50 odd days left for registry lock, the transaction will be cancelled.

Can you please resolve SAV.com/DAN issues. I was planning to register a few domain in bulk at SAV.com but I am having second thoughts now because of this situation.

Sav believes in openness and does not restrict any domain marketplaces from selling domain at Sav or any marketplace from pushing domains to buyer's Sav accounts.

Sav also offers a great Marketplace to list and sell you domains as well that features in industry low 4% commission. If the domain is already at Sav, it will be instantly pushed to the buyers account upon sale.

If you have a buyer for the domain and the other marketplace is not able to complete the sale, just use the Sav Marketplace to complete this sale, and hopefully list all your domains with us as well!
