DAN.COM (formerly known as Undeveloped.com) is on a path to be become the biggest domain marketplace in the world. We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

At DAN.COM you will get the highest value for the lowest commission around. Due to our domain transfer automation, we can offer significantly faster handling of domain transactions and payouts (usually within 24 hours) at the lowest fee charged by any domain marketplace.

We've been the first on many fronts and proudly will continue to keep innovating. We were the first to offer optimized for sale pages since 2013, the first to provide payment plans in the form of lease to own and rentals and also the first and only domain marketplace offering free SSL on all domains parked with us for over a year now.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
If you are seeing the typical DAN page then chances are you have some form of adblocker enabled as they have it falling back to this should the visitor be using one.

what I see is a redirect to

dan.DOMAIN.com

dan.DOMAIN.com
Are you staying there though?

As if you don't have a (detectable) adblocker active then you will see what @Don Gondon posted and DOMAIN.dan.com in the address bar, however if you do have one then you will be redirected to the typical DAN domain for sale landing page: dan.com/buy-domain/DOMAIN

If you are experiencing something different to that, then it sounds like both DAN and Bodis need to know about it.

@frank-germany it's working on my end too. Try to use a browser without any types of ad blocker

Messing around with DevTools and I have to say that the ads on the left on large screens and top for small devices looks good. It might be worth offering up an option to users as to how they wish to have their pages displayed. :xf.smile:

I feel the design of the links section that Dan showed on their Medium post and Twitter looks better. Or is it just me?

Why there is trustpilot logo on landing pages with parking? Parked domains do not participate in trustpilot rating. In other words, if the URL is dan .com/buy-domain/ domain -- then trustpilot may be shown, since dan.com is the URL. But, if the URL is dan.kfx.com or similar - then trustpilot should not be shown, as kfx .com domain never joined trustpilot. So, trustpilot here is misleading imho.

Yes, but if you follow the source to it, it shows the trust pilot is for Dan.com. The content is still owned by Dan/Bodis, so I don't see an issue with that.

Is it possible to use the hybrid page without using DAN nameservers?

I also feel the for sale section should be on the right.
Ads on the left.
I think that should be left as an option so that people who are more concerned about clicks on mobile, can choose that option while those who are more concerned about sales, can leave it as default.

I checked the forwarding sequence offered in different scenarios to visitors of sonnenliegen domain used in the above examples. It is too complicated and illogical. Should be fixed. Any type of request should be immediately forwarded to dan subdomain with https. Right now there are too many hops:

1) http ://www .sonnenliegen .com --> http ://sonnenliegen .com --> http ://dan .sonnenliegen .com --> https ://dan .sonnenliegen .com

2) https ://www .sonnenliegen .com --> https ://sonnenliegen .com --> http ://dan .sonnenliegen .com --> https ://dan .sonnenliegen .com

3) http ://sonnenliegen .com --> http ://dan .sonnenliegen .com --> https ://dan .sonnenliegen .com

4) https ://sonnenliegen .com --> http ://dan .sonnenliegen .com --> https ://dan .sonnenliegen .com

I sold 2 domain names on Sedo. The domain names were redirected to Dan.com sales page with buy now price. I had made the same price on my Sedo account as a minimal offer so that there was no buy now twice. Instead of using buy now from Dan.com, the buyer made an offer with Sedo. I sold it through Sedo and now I am still waiting for the transaction to be completed (buyer still has to change domain name holder). This all takes a long time compared to Dan.com. At Dan.com I receive the amount within 24 hours after it has been paid by the buyer.

How can the buyer buy through Sedo and not through Dan.com? While the domain name also refers to the sales page of Dan.com. Does it have to do with your brand awareness? I advise you to increase your brand awareness and work with multiple parties (such as Namebio, DNJournal).

I don't know if this is the case, anyway Sedo has a distribution network, it means someone go to one registrar to search for domains and get on the results Sedo domains listed as premium. I sold some in this way, but they had a fixed price, I don't know if the "make an offer" names are listed on other websites...

@LaszloSchenk @DAN.COM

In hybrid landers why do users need to click on of the links before the Ads are shown? IMO showing the ADs directly is much better for CTR (the extra click step will reduce CTR a lot)

We fully agree with you, however, this is Google policy that we implemented here. If we had the choice we would have shown the full ads directly.

In the near future we hope to experiment with new ad forms like product affiliates and direct advertisers from ads.com.

Have a great evening,

Dan

Does this eliminate any trademark risks of using combinations for example PSN.whatever and results coming up with PlayStation stuff? My worry is any takeover action of allowing ads on all domains.

Do I have to add the domains after activating the service to my account in Bodis as well?

Good morning @Nona99

Yes, the domain should be added to your Bodis account as well.

Have a great weekend.

how long after doing all the steps do the ads start showing up? (ad blocker disabled).

UPDATE: about after 30-40 mins or so, some lines did show up that look like ad links, but when i tested one by clicking it, it brought to a blank page (so far). Maybe needs more time to propogate.

UPDATE #2 : about 1 hour after that , it seems that it's working now.

So probably overall 2 hours to get stuff properly going.

@DAN.COM

I request urgently
to undo the minimum amount

I ask for a zero min amount
no amount at all

the reason is "anchoring"
it triggers a 3 fig price expectation in an uninformed mind

no price showing gives more room for imagination of a higher price tag

to comply with your needs to avoid extreme low price sales
just create a minimum fee

a minimum fee will make low sales useless
