In this environment I like the term, and .org is not at all a bad TLD for this term. That said, most businesses would prefer a .com normally, so may set limits on how high a price.

Among educators, learner is popular as placing the emphasis on the student experience, but as term in general public the sales would indicate not yet so much.

TLDs and Competitors
The .com is apparently registered but lander just something in Arizona saying the site is disabled, so not sure status. I see the term is taken in 4 TLDs, including big 3 + co-uk. There will be a bit of competition as the plural could also make sense.

Past Sales
I could only find one sale in .org with name learner, and it did not go for much, but back in 2013. Org has become stronger since then, and also education and distance names. DistanceLearning did sell in .org in 2014 for $2100, so that is encouraging.

Among all extensions there are 30 sales involving word learner on NameBio - list here. Quite a few are in low/mid $$$$ range (although also $$$, some of which are domainer acquisitions).

Price Suggestions
If mine, I would either price it mid $$$ so within range of bloggers, writers, educational speakers, small organizations, single person startups, or low $$$$ hoping that an educational startup or organization will like it enough over other alternatives. A payment plan may increase chances of sale. I think this is a sector and name where the probability of sale is dependent on price, and also one where the time to sell is now, especially while the .com is not listed for sale or functional, so would get it listed with a nice lander and on major marketplaces.

Note that while I did a tiny bit of research, nowhere near as much as you should in deciding pricing. For example I did not look at businesses on learner vs learning or learn, and you should, using a tool like OpenCorporates.

While getting views from others may help, in the end do the extensive research yourself and trust your instincts rather than listen too much to this, or any other, appraisal. The name is yours and you should be the expert on it.

Best wishes for it, it is a nice name at the right time.

Bob

Well let's see,

Not really that good I'm afraid (as it might seem at first glance). .ORG's are wildcards but you need a very good pinpoint domain to make sure you don't actually lose money with these.

- "Learner" term is a weak one. There hasn't been a sale in Namebio over $1K using it in that position since 2018. The term you need there is "learning". This difference kills a lot of the value AND likelihood of sale.

- The "-er" ending is generally bad, unless term is very strong and domain is a .com. .Org buyers will go for a premium exact match, or else.

- Same thing for "distance" at beginning but none since 2015.

- There is a little trend currently but don't put hopes way too high.

- "Distancelearning.org" is the correct match and has sold in 2014. No other matching .org sales since there.

I'm afraid chances to sell it are smaller than they appear. I don't see this selling for 4-fig anyway, besides .org niche is way smaller than .com and sales are even lower than .net. You don't have a recent trend for these words, at all.

I'd price this at low to medium xxx in order to make sure I actually sell it and not keep renewing it forever.

But of course feel free to price it as you think fit. If time passes and it doesn't sell, consider reviewing this and changing price accordingly.
