Good morning @frank-germany,

Once it is enabled for all users, the pages can be activated per domain from within your portfolio section. Alternatively, you can set a default in your general settings at which you state from which monthly traffic on the hybrid page should get activated automatically.

If I may give a small contribution to the landing page feature, I suggest that rather than having an ON/OFF button for each domain, display three options: ON/OFF/"As Per the global setting".

This way one may turn the global setting off and activate the hybrid landing page for a handful of domains; or conversely, have the global setting on and deactivate it only for a few domains.

When you have a big portfolio, an ingenious UI means we have to make a smaller number of actions to achieve the desired configuration. I can tell from experience that developers are not domainers and generally don't get this (including DAN's).

I sold 2 domain names on Sedo. The domain names were redirected to Dan.com sales page with buy now price. I had made the same price on my Sedo account as a minimal offer so that there was no buy now twice. Instead of using buy now from Dan.com, the buyer made an offer with Sedo. I sold it through Sedo and now I am still waiting for the transaction to be completed (buyer still has to change domain name holder). This all takes a long time compared to Dan.com. At Dan.com I receive the amount within 24 hours after it has been paid by the buyer.

How can the buyer buy through Sedo and not through Dan.com? While the domain name also refers to the sales page of Dan.com. Does it have to do with your brand awareness? I advise you to increase your brand awareness and work with multiple parties (such as Namebio, DNJournal).

to me it's not the traffic, that defines it
but the likelyhood of trademark issues

my guess is:
it was an international domainer doing regularly sales with Sedo
or
it was a german end user, who has never heard of DAN but a lot of Sedo

Sorry to hear how this turned out. We are already investing heavily in brand awareness and have seen an increasing trend for the past months already. It likely was the result of browsing inventory directly on Sedo. Still, I want to thank you for your input and we will continue increasing our brand awareness of course.

For me It's been very silent in DAN since 4 weeks.
Very glad to know you people have been trying to adopt new things like Efty integration, Bodis integration.
Its better you concentratie on major things like your DAN traffic, Sales, Server side issues rather than adopting other things.
What would we get if we dont see any traffic or sales at the end of the day?

I don't think DAN drive any traffic to your domain names other than when people search for names after they land on DAN. And even that I am not sure the search works because the Search result is pretty random.

Most the traffic to search is when other people type in your domain name and they are redirected to a DAN lander.

2 months already since the last $1K non-payer (who didn't pay to Dan principally)...

What has this gotta to do with DAN?
This is a genuine query?
Did DAN change in the last 2 months?
Did DAN used to promote their site before?

Because 100% traffic to DAN is type-in traffic to the domains listed there from what I can see.
I see that SH is doing a lot of retargetting and perhaps they are doing it because it is working.
They are buying a lot of banner traffic from big publishers and then retargeting on Instagram, FB etc.

They do need some kind of strategy to get the domains in front of buyers.
If it is only Type-in, everyone will move to Woocomerce or Efty eventually.
For Afternic, at least they have the reg path.

After I agreed on their bid - they contacted me via WHOIS email and explained that DAN is not acceptable for them...

We as well have invested heavily in banner traffic which resulted in a lot of traffic being pushed to our homepage. @DNGear we are continuously investing in the traffic and branding of our company. In turn, we also built the most frequently asked features for our clients which is why we have launched the Bodis integration recently for example.

@blogspotter, we made changes indeed. The only changes we have made involved new additions to the platform like the integrator for example. However, these changes only resulted in increased sales for the majority of our users rather than having a negative effect on their monthly sales.

Good to know that you are investing in Traffic.

Just to give a comparison, SH ads is seen on over 4000 Publishers, BB on about 1500 publishers and BuyDomains on about 10000 Publishers.
In comparison DAN is in less than 300.

In addition to that the Reason SH is on big media buying is I think for dropping pixels and retarget on FB and Insta etc. Their retargetting campaign is also huge.

Buyer offers $,$$$,i countered low 5 figures which he accepted immediately. How long does this type of transaction usually takes?(That is if buyer is genuine)

Note:I did not use dan.com lander as buyer found me somehow in DAN.

Will update as things unfold.

All I could find in answer to this is the link below, which seems to say it is the number shown in the CNAME records option when you add a domain: :wacky:

If you are seeing the typical DAN page then chances are you have some form of adblocker enabled as they have it falling back to this should the visitor be using one.
