Our fellow Canadian and parasite, Maurice Smith, is one of the originators of the idea of carbon taxation which can control all economic activity and everything living. The problem with climate change policy is that its goal is to solely attribute everything on human activity without considering other factors like sun activity. Canadian Tim Ball and another canadian scientist who's name escapes me now showed errors in climate change science. But now, it is clear that this is just political propaganda and not science.

Great body language in this video. Putin doesn't seem eager to help his Belarus lap dog, saying they need to solve their problems themselves. The West wants Putin to send troops, so they can say to the world "See? Putin is invading another country." No doubt, the CIA is knees deep there already though - and too much NATO influence might force Putin to act. The saving grace may be Trump, who have been pretty consistently against sending more troops overseas. But I doubt the CIA clues him in on all they do.

I think most people confuse weather with climate change. Politicians like to exploit weather / climate change but in reality 99.99% of their claims & predictions are wrong.

Fires on the west coast were started by arson and spread by wind.

In Oregon; just as the fires started we had a 3 day wind storm ( not uncommon ) that spread fires from rural area into small towns, cities. Most fires in Oregon were the result of arson. When politicians lie and point to climate change, they alienate experienced people who use common sense.

Last year, Oregon's largest fire was started in the Columbia Gorge by a person who deliberately threw a firework from a parking lot into the brush. The largest fire before that was the Biscuit fire. Also started by arson.

In Oregon, natural fires start earlier in the summer from dry lightening. Lots of lightening, little rain. Then heavier rain follows a few weeks later.

Feels like a guilt trip but a trip is a trip

Before climate change agenda there was global warming, before global warming there was global cooling. And the idea behind the hypothesis of global cooling has the best science behind it. It is a big topic and an interesting one but you would have to be specific what you are focusing on when you make your posts. If it is the fact Trump didn't buy in to their presentation easily then it is a good thing even if you don't' see it that way.

It takes just a bit of an effort to bring up better sources so I don't want to do it unless we are on something specific. But, for example, I don't consider carbon a pollution - it helps plants grow faster, the extra carbon emitted from human activities is insignificant on a global scale and shutting it down will not have consequences for climate, only for human lives. But real industrial pollution is now conveniently ignored.

There is an observable phenomena called Global Dimming, easily seen with evaporation rate of water. When after 911 all air traffic stopped for few days, if I remember correctly temperature increased in America by .5 degrees Celsius. One can do their own research what aerosol is being added to the skies in all western countries.

Maybe this is interesting, some tech like weather modification has been studied since ww2 or at least vietnam war, and so is seismic/earthquake tech since at least ww2 war with Japan.
This tech is interesting, it advanced quite a bit from what is seen here but this was one of the original documentaries I seen on this subject.

I didn't enter this thread as a popularity contest - clearly demonstrated by the overwhelming under-reaction (yikes vs likes), and the absence of non-partisan discernment. In that respect I am the odd one out, the only dissenting voice rustling a few Republican feathers. Free speech is a luxury that I do not take for granted. How many here have lived in communist countries? Likewise, how many have lived off the land? Who among you has walked a mile in his neighbours moccasins? He who throw stones live in glass house.

No guilt trip implied - simply an observation gained through extensive travels, involvement in international environmental initiatives and having lived close to the land. Prove me wrong, better yet, do something other than blow HOT air to fill the Trump balloon. IIRC I've been relatively well-behaved in this thread, lol, any scorching comments or memes that contradict the status quo were simply meant to raise awareness, whether or not it floats your boat.

My objective is not to bring down the government, but rather to uplift the populus. Bystanders reading this thread can decide for themselves - and vote for the party of their choice. Afterall, we live in a free democracy (still).
