Squadhelp is introducing a white label solution that looks pretty cool at first glance. Setting up the Marketplace takes less than 10 minutes, and it comes pre-configured with powerful features such as Instant Search technology, AI based Domain Recommendations and modern, beautiful landing pages that are optimized for conversion. The entire Marketplace is custom branded: […]

Is everyone else also getting "SSL Handshake" error? I'm getting it a lot. I'm not sure why.

Regarding: "In future, you may be able to add domains owned by others to your own WLM, and earn a commission if that name is purchased from your WLM."

I personally do not think this is a good idea as people may add premium domains to their WLM in order to establish a sort of legitimacy to their marketplace. Example, someone owns car.com as is selling it on their personal SH WLM, then a bunch of other WLM starts adding that domain to their own SH WLM, it will just be a mess. If I owned such a premium domain, I would want it to be sold on my own marketplace as that would bring credibility to my marketplace.

I see your point. I guess it's a give and take. But if that illusion of legitimacy cause the name the sell faster then the owner may not mind. And as someone mentioned...the owner may have the option to opt into having their name published all over for more exposure. It sort of feels like an innovative way to broker domains..where average folks get to broker names and earn commissions. Like i may think, oh man that guy has my name on his site and it boosts his image...but i wouldn't complain if it brought me 5 extra sales right now. Someone else may hit the hammer on the head where you or i missed. it also sort of feels like affiliate program. I saw catchy.com trying this but it's a bit scrappy imo.. SH may actually make this viable..

Your point is valid...but maybe the pros outweigh the cons.
I mean you still have to get the people to your site to buy.... Your WLM wont be the landing page for these names. So you still have to put in the work to make a sale happen over someone else. It's good exposure. One person site makes a name pop out more. While having it at a huge marketplace among millions of other names may cause it to miss a buyers eyes. Not everyone is searching for a specific name. I'm sure if they make this possible, they will explain the benefits and their thinking behind it.

Hi. I asked this in the other SH WLM thread but no reply. Are you able to add tabs in the header like "About us" "Categories" "Contact" etc.?

We will be adding this feature in the future.

@GrantP Hi !

There is an issue while uploading the Logo image.

As my experience in programming, you are using same folder for all logos uploaded by users and you don't set and change the name of the image to a custom one reserved for the user itself. And it seem that the image exists, it will not be modified by a new one.

If I upload for example: logo.png, since it already exists it return the first logo of the user that uploaded the same name of file: Crunchname.

Thanks for sharing this. I will pass it along to our engineering team.

Is it possible to have an option to display the Visual Images for Premium Domains instead of the Logo, in the WLM? It will be good for the overall look and "uniformity" of the site's design.

We currently do not have this planned. However if several sellers are interested in this option, we can certainly consider adding it.

I'm curious: When a sale is complete; do we get to have the clients contact or are all these customers brought in by us taken by Squadhelp?

I understand, the need to keep it hidden until a sale is complete, to keep the sale on the platform and get their commissions. But How can we market without clients/returning clients? Is this only benefiting SH?

It's a White label; not merely a landing page..

Are you guys able to create your own unique categories for your marketplace?

Don't think you can. You have to use those provided in the spreadsheet, if you're using that.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe it's an option the team could consider adding so sellers can precisely categorize their domains. I'd like to see a category called "Domain Hack".

I can understand as a domainer, why you'd want that. But are you sure potential endusers know what an "domain hack" is?

If I didn't know, I would perhaps think "what's wrong with this name.."

Just a thought.

Some end users might not know what it is but they will eventually once the popularity increases. Looking at the available categories https://www.squadhelp.com/all-categories I guess domain hacks "could" fall under "short names" or "modern names" but I still feel it deserves it's own category. Take a look at https://nami.ng/ to see domain hacks in action.

I know what they are and that they are popular. My concern is regarding the terminology used. Endusers are not domainers, so "short names" have much broader appeal than a "hack".

True the term hack these days refer to computer/financial/personal hacking but I see it as like "to chop or cut" like hacking a tree. Chopping up a word into 2 places creates a domain hack. Anyways, short names would be the best place for DH on SH for now.

@GrantP Why aren't any details about the buyer displayed, when an offer is made for a white-label marketplace domain? Not even the buyer's name or country!

This could be a huge downside, especially for sellers who like to do their research before responding.

The only options currently available are accept/reject/counter or delete offer.

I responded to your message in the other thread, posting it here as well for reference.

Here is how we handle offers:

1. All offers are initially screened by our team to rule out any bot based inquiries or invalid emails
2. Offers are then forwarded on to sellers (you will receive an alert, notification and the offer should be visible in the offer center).
3. Sellers have the ability to counter/ reject or accept the offer.
4. Our Marketplace team continues to stay involved and sends out follow ups to buyers and sellers to move the negotiation process forward.
5. In the next few days, we plan to add lot more information about the buyer in the offer center (both for WLM and Premium Marketplace). We can not share the personal details (e.g. name, email) about the buyers but we plan to provide additional information that can be very helpful in negotiations.

There's almost always a correlation between the seller's stance on their asking price and what they gather from their buyer research. This complete lack of transparency makes any negotiations, mostly a shot in the dark.
The WLM is in essence a space where the seller should have autonomy.
I get that you wouldn't want to share the buyer's email, considering there's a good possibility the seller might complete the transaction elsewhere to avoid the commission.
But, not sharing the name and country is a definitely a deal-breaker during negotiations.

They don't seem to give you any buyer details..saying it's part of their policy. But they are offering you your own marketplace...so why not even some basic details? Dan and Uniregistry does it. Not sure if they are afraid you will do the sale outside the platform or what...

And After you counter, i don't see a way to communicate with the buyer again. And i had to follow up many days after to get a reply from SH on the buyer status???

Also please make the offer, counter, accept options clearer...they are like text right together..make it more distinct. I don't know what i'm clicking until i highlight the right text.

We have a major update coming up related to offer center in the next few days (likely next week). This will provide significantly greater level of insights about buyers (not just their country but also several other details that can greatly help with negotiation).

Please continue to share your ongoing feedback. We may not have all the features yet but we are rapidly adding several new features every week, mainly based upon feedback from our sellers.

That's not good. How does SH expect marketplace owners to grow their business if they can't expand their customer base?

I guess we are used to help SH.. Hopefully the sales make it worth it. And even without any sale..they will be building their contact list.
