The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
"Best" is a relative term. We all have our biases.:xf.smile:

Try EPIK.COM. Low rates and excellent customer service even for a newbie.

I highly recommend GoDaddy. It offers great customer support and low prices as compared to others.

Try GoDaddy, as a new customer you can buy your 1st domain within $1-5 from GD. If you are looking for affordable renewal , you can try Dynadot

For hand registrations I use mainly dynadot and namesilo. Both are very good.

Recently I regged several names on porkbun (they have a promo on .com and .net for the new accounts).

The porkbun promo pricing is matchless but It is only 3 .nets, 3 .coms and 1 .org and i don't want multiple accounts... but for low risk brandables, I think it is ok ;)

I don't think you will have any problem with any registrar.
I like all registrars. I have heard bad things about NetSol but the rest are all clean and good.
Many people complain about SAV but I have no problems with SAV, and they are cheap so I use it all the time. I even sold on their marketplace since I list all domains on the registry landers for first 60 days for smooth sale.

Many registrars offer good discount for first time users, so I would take advantage of that and open an account on Godaddy, NameSilo, Epik etc.

Porkbun pricing is incomparable for the 2st 3 .net and 3 .coms and 1 .org, so I highly recommend using porkbun as well.

Check this for price:

Then 2nd year .com renewal fee $18+ per year

other Registrars are $8.5 (such as Epik)

Godaddy’s worst “beginmer domainer regisrar”
Unless pay $100+ yearly for “Discount Club”
Dont fall for Godaddy tricks

Agreed. As a matter of fact, I have never even sold a domain registered at GoDaddy (to an enduser).

Thank you so much for all of your replies, I think GD ain't good option to start looking at your comments, will certainly apply this.

I dont blame you for thinking they are great with all SB commercials :)
The worst Registrar is "Network Solutions" imo..
You warned (or will soon learn ; )

Can anyone please explain what is the price difference of GoDaddy membership with discount club and without. I mean in all aspects like new registration, renew cost, transfer cost, buying expiring domain etc.

And what would be your advice in term of value for money and whether it is worth or not?

Thanks in advance

You pay $119.88 ( 1st year $89.99 with discount code) per year and you can register and renew domain names for upto 60 percent off their standard retail pricing.
So basically, GoDaddy charges $14.99 for regular retail renewals, and discounts them to $8.29 ( $8.29 price plus the 18 cent ICANN fee) in the Domain Discount Club.

Thanks... So the main benefit is annual renew cost only ?

I went with GoDaddy because of their premium listings. I will consider epik for the next buy.
