Hi all,

I'm after some advice on outbound emailing. When sending cold emails selling domains is it best to

Get straight to the point ie

Hi ( Company Name or Person Name)

We own Domain Name ..... which we are looking to sell.

Would you be interested in acquiring this domain name?

OR

Write a bit more?

Hi ( Company Name or Person Name)

First-line - Say something positive about the company

We own domain name .... with an average monthly search volume of .... and looking to sell this domain name.

Would you be interested in buying this domain name and forwarding it to your main domain?

Outbounding is not easy. There is no magic formula.

You would have to do some A/B testing but I would not expect either to really have a higher response rate than the other.

You should never talk about monthly search volumes or any search volumes in outbound.

In most cases the domains are getting little to no traffic, and the ones that do are typically far more valuable then just selling it at SEM based metric valuations.

My best advice would be for you to study sales and sales psychology.

There is no magic formula, but after trial an error you may find a script that delivers consistently.

I am equally keen to get out of the station.

I usually fill out emails very much based on the buyer's current stage of business. But no matter what the content of the email is, very few buyers will reply with a 'promotional email'. So going out of site may not speed up the sale of the domain. IMO

outbound is not really not good for me, no reply after sent around ~ 1k emails, but LinkedIn messages are better

Dear Mr ....

I own the domain name ....., which could be an ideal fit for your business.

It is priced to sell at $.....

Please let me know your interest.

KM.

I sent this mail to potential end users early this year. Ideal DN for them as they did not have EMDs for their business and thought they would respond. Only crickets.:grumpy:.

Will drop upon next renewal.
