Going through Expiredomains.net to scavenge left overs as is the habit of domainers with little funds.

I have noticed this phenomenon, whereby. A domain name with a seemingly promising prospect, good backlinks (including from .edu/.gov), high cpc is used for a totally unrelated niche from the domain name, for some unknown reasons the language of this websites when you check their archive/org snapshots is always chinese or Japanese.

Another peculiar attribute of these websites is that they are dropped after 1-2years. Apparently the juices have been sucked dry. No left overs :-,

What could be the reason for this...? I am curious to find out why these people (they might not necessarily be Asians) do this.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
They buy expired domains with good metrics then run ads on them.

Snapshots i see on archive/org are not ads/affiliates or parking but blogs, sometimes adult sites etc

Yes i have noticed this many times before , like a fashion nich domain and blog about cooking and recipes ,
a tourism nich domain and blog about oil and gas solutions !
During this year i sold a media domain and now it is with blog about nail fungus treatment !!:xf.grin::ROFL:

Maybe they have been doing this as trick to attract future curious buyers , to get offers for the domain showing that they are inexperience of domains but only blogging !! lol

I really coudnt figure out !

Didn't think quality expired had any geo tendencies people drop names forget to renew gems all the time.

I believe, they purchase expired names with great back links and traffic. Then they create a content marketing strategy where most of the products are Adult and redirects to the local websites in China. This is my observations with some of the great keyword domains listed in expired auctions at Epik.

Regards.
