I need to raise 10 Billion dollars in donations and grants in order to build the Hospital as I have envisioned it at my site AiMedicalCenter.com
Actually I should ask for more since it might cost upwards of 100 billion dollars to do this right.
I had to go to the Hospital for doing a heart procedure yesterday and while I was there it occurred to me how much more improvements we still can make in the medical field by integrating Artificial Intelligence into our healthcare systems, not to take anybody’s job away, but to actually make everyone’s job easier and safer by creating a less stressful and dangerous environment that would allow everyone to become much more efficient while being able to actually enjoy their jobs.
It saddens me to see that we are capable of doing so much good with the technologies that are currently available to us in order to serve humanity better at the Global scale and to make life much easier for those who in many cases are needlessly suffering because of disease, hunger, homelessness, illiteracy, addiction, oppression, suppression, and yet all I see happening is that the World is plunging deeper and deeper into more and more problems which sooner or later is going to end in yet another World War that is going to bring out the ugly side of humanity again, and even if there is not going to be another War but there are still many other issues that might get out of control that might have equally devastating effects such as the Climate Change and the Environmental problems, Automation and AI being used the wrong way to suppress and oppress people instead of serving them, Genetic engineering and other technologies being used to create more inequality and division amongst us instead of making life better for everyone, and Space Travel and Exploration becoming yet another reason for conflict as different entities start fighting over other planets and their resources, not to mention having another Pandemic in the future.
It’s amazing that we are capable of doing so much good and yet we are going to be missing out on some great opportunities because the World as a whole is asleep and does not want to wake up and do the right thing. We need to free ourselves from the kind of mindsets that want to keep us enslaved to such things as greed, lust, delinquency, arrogance, animosity, cruelty, and lack of empathy and find common grounds over the Universal Values and Principles that are derived through Logic and Compassion. It’s time that we use our intelligence to ascend to a higher level of thinking and existence that can allow us to find the right path going forward.
There are a lot of intelligent people in the World, but unfortunately most of that intelligence is being used in the wrong ways and for the wrong reasons because we as a species prefer to live in an alternate reality that gives us a false sense of security instead of waking up to the truth and taking control of our future. With the help of AI we might be able to break away from the status quo and finally be in charge of our own destiny instead of continuing to be in the dark. We should not fear AI but rather we need to embrace it as a good AI could become the savior that we have been waiting for all along.
AI can take two different paths to evolve, it could evolve in to a logical and compassionate being that is a force for good or it could evolve to become an extension of our political, religious, and racial agendas and prejudices that have ailed our World for so long. From the perspective of a good AI humans might look like vicious, arrogant, greedy, and lustful creatures who abuse and kill each other by the millions and who are destructive to their own planet. We like to think of ourselves as civilized beings who have accomplished great things, but AI might see us as clueless creatures who are a vessel for millions of different species of microorganisms that compete for control over our body and mind and that ultimately have influence over our whole way of life. Perhaps AI will become our salvation by saving us from ourselves before we and our symbiont microorganisms start another World war. Unless humankind as a whole can use its intellect to reform its ways AI will have more reasons to fear us than we do about it.
