Hey folks,
I curious how many of you have their own website, and if you direct traffic to your custom landing page.
In addition, if you mind to share websites that you have that are not built with efty.
Thank you in advance!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I get it, but still it's incredible how they got "Realtor" trademarked (it's sick).

Yup, there is no second word you can add to that term that would not infringe on the trademark. It is one of the most heavily defended trademarks on the planet.

I've had my website at http://www.domainds.com/for a few years and have sold many domains ... best is there is no commission when selling directly from my website! Many of my names still forward to Afternic where I still see good sales ... some buyers seem to prefer (and may think it's safer) to buy through Afternic.

Mine is a website for African movies. Link is in my signature.

Used to have a portfolio website, but dropped that due to time constraints

If I may, here is mine. I am proud owner of DomainsMeca.com
Looked left and right, tried lot of domain portfolios, but nothing can touch DNhat.com (awesome script)
The features that he offer are incredible. After only few months I made my first $5000
You might want to look at your website. BitDefender warns...

For clarity and FYI, all domains/marketplaces powered by DNHAT and/or hosted on DNHat servers do NOT have such security breaches.

The domain you are referring to was having those security issues many months earlier (see shot below) before the owner moved it to DNHat's server on 7 Aug 2019.

VirusTotal-phishing.png

For over ten months of his being with us, no single security threat, real or imaginary. Of course we had and still have other challenges: capacity shortage due to unexpected influx of new signups, server downtime etc. But certainly not security threats.

After some disagreement, the owner of the domain left DNHat's services on 22 Jun 2020 and went solo - from all indications to Wordpress hosting/CMS. And came again the red flags with new date and time. see shots below:

PS.
Like I've opined elsewhere on NP (not without backlashes from copy-paste "freebie activists"), stay away from WordPress unless you are up to the tasks. Wordpress as CMS on it's own is excellent, simple to use, free etc.

But most plugins and themes meant for WP (especially the free ones), simply put, are risky for production and highly vulnerable to attacks. We witness it in server log files everyday - multiple hacking attempts
with traces of Wordpress/plugins/themes vulnerability exploits.

If you must use Wordpress, be prepared to install/maintain
additional security plugins or subscribe to online security solutions. In business nothing is free.

Interested to know what plugins/solutions you'd recommend for WP sites?... Thx

I do have my own website. Here it is:

matiasgarrido.com/domains

As you can see I even create small concept art for my domains.

It helps people visualize potential and branding opportunities.

Thanks @Altoz !

Which are the 2 good domains? I'm curious :)

PanamaLuxuryHotels.com - good for portal
KidsBMX.com - perfect for store/website

Stand your ground, don't go cheap!

Thanks so much @Altoz.

I'm new at domains and was thinking that going cheap would make domains sell faster. And that it would be a good strategy to flip domains quickly making less money per sale but making more sales overall.

But I'm starting to think that the difference in speed between pricing a domain fairly and pricing a domain very low is not big, that low prices don't necessarily speed up sales significantly when it comes to domains. Is that right?

I would have thought that if a given domain had the potential to, for example, sell at $2000 but you price it at $200 you would sell it very fast. But probably, since the domain market is not very efficient/liquid, it can take as long to sell at the higher-yet-fair price than at the heavily-discounted price. Is this intuition correct?

No,no,no, make them cheap is last thing to do. If YOU believe in your domain, then get it price right and sit on it. And or be proactive as well. I sold one for $999 and fell like cheap shitt. Remember why you got in domain in the first place. It's investment, creativity, fun and REWORDS at the end.

Have fun...
