according to media, we are getting drilled here in Texas with coronavirus, I am thinking Greg Abbott might have to shut us down before to long , most people did the voluntary quarantine during the first round here , everyone except a few have been wearing masks here for a good while now, I guess we will see what happens

Yep:

Texas sets a new single-day record for fresh COVID-19 cases
COVID-19 cases continue to increase in Texas with the state reporting a single-day high of 6,975 newly confirmed cases on Tuesday. Hospitalization rates also saw a new surge with 620 more positive patients being admitted to make the total 6,533 across the state.

The chart - https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/texas/

It looks like June 16 it starts spiking up, 16 days after Memorial day on May 31.

We probably should have shut it down more than the month of April. Give more time to figure things out. Then if you want to reopen, make masks a requirement when in public. People were going out like everything is ok. People talk about personal liberties and stuff like that but seatbelts are required. It's a little thing to do, wear a mask but it helps until we get a vaccine. People want to get back to normal, the quickest way is to tighten up for awhile.

Now look where we're at. Closing up again, WHO saying some countries will have to go on lockdown again. We should have toughed it out a little longer.

Trump said today sometimes he wears a mask, that he looks like the Lone Ranger, that he likes the look.

Can you see the problem wearing a mask like the Lone Ranger:

"Any Commander and Chief with a spine would be stomping the living Shit out of some Russians right now...."

Wow. Somebody tipped over the cracker barrel today. War with Russia. What a great idea. Over a rumor. That they did the same thing the CIA always does. You can send poor black kids off to fight it, and if you're lucky the nukes won't target your dump of a city.

This mayor of a New York

This probably has something to do with his wife being black

More about being a communist.

The position I have taken on wearing mask is that the majority of people are wearing a mask, it isn’t about how I personally feel about wearing a mask, it’s the right thing to do so that other people don’t feel nervous to be around me.

Welp, I bought my first Donald item. (for a friend)

Rather than argue with a conservative personal trainer friend (with military training in chem) who won't wear masks with reasons similar to not wanting to support liberal hysteria.

We were able to come to a compromise that if I bought him a Trump mask, then he'd wear it more often, and proudly.. As he knows his not wearing of a mask makes others uncomfortable.

Show up at my house and threaten to kill my family and I'll shoot you.

In my case that will only happen if one of my highly trained Rotties doesn't stop the trespasser/assaulter as he/she advances toward my home. (btw, if Rottweilers were good enough for the Roman legions, they are good enough for me!)

Good dogs. A friend used to have several. His plumbing was down one evening and I needed to take a leak, so went out into a dark corner of his yard to do it. Right in mid-stream, fully exposed, one of his rottweilers came charging at me. Luckily, he was on a chain, which stopped him just short of me. But I literally pissed myself jumping out of his way.

"Afghan officials said prizes of as much as $100,000 per killed soldier were offered for American and coalition targets.”

That's enough money to retire on in the region. And yet, the number of US troops killed there has been dropping considerably since 2010, when almost 500 were killed. In 2019, 22 were killed, and that was considered a high number.

Explain that one. Taliban would kill US troops for fun. Add $100K to the mix and it should have been open season.
