DAN.COM (formerly known as Undeveloped.com) is on a path to be become the biggest domain marketplace in the world. We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

At DAN.COM you will get the highest value for the lowest commission around. Due to our domain transfer automation, we can offer significantly faster handling of domain transactions and payouts (usually within 24 hours) at the lowest fee charged by any domain marketplace.

We've been the first on many fronts and proudly will continue to keep innovating. We were the first to offer optimized for sale pages since 2013, the first to provide payment plans in the form of lease to own and rentals and also the first and only domain marketplace offering free SSL on all domains parked with us for over a year now.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I love to add my customers into my email list.
But with Dan.com, I can't found the buyer email address in the invoice after the transaction is completed.

Many of us want to know the buyer email address after transaction is completed.
Please add this to your to-do list. Thanks !

Hi just wondering about the new-ish lease-to-own option on Dan.com, before implementing it.

If you enable this, can you turn it back off?

If you enable this, do domains with no expected/fixed price set still function on the same make offer basis as before?

Intro info here: https://blog.undeveloped.com/introducing-domain-financing-2-0-cd82edbb79c4

And interesting pros and cons discussion here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/pricing-is-critical-with-lease-to-own-option-at-dan.1185871/ makes the point that you when doing counter offers under the make offer option you can mention/offer payment in instalments. Would that now be limited to 12 months?

I'm pretty sure most of our buyers hate any kinds of upsell, followups, and other promos.

Good morning @carob,

Thank you for your inquiry.

You can disable the lease to own at any given time. In addition, when activating the lease to own all domains without a buy it now price will be listed with a make offer only. Lastly, when negotiation with buyers installments can be offered up until a maximum of 12 indeed. All installments above the 12 months include a markup and have to be converted to a lease to own.

Have a great weekend.

How do I check who viewed my domains? Is it even possible?

Anybody else having issues adding domains that have been listed by a previous owner? I'm using the custom DNS verification but it continues to fail.

Good morning @NameDeck

Thank you for notifying us.

Could you send me a private message with the domain involved? In addition, could you also indicate if you have used our bulk importer after adding the ownership verification nameserver?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I was having the same issue but found out that when you use the custom verification you need to wait 24 hours and the domain will move automatically to you. I didn't know and was really frustrated then it happened. DAN should clearly state that it will need 24 hours

I don't think so. It could be a propagation issue. When you change nameservers it can take a while to propagate globally although I find it highly unlikely that's the thing. The way they are (most probably) verifying the ownership through DNS should be quite instant.

I did notice a couple of hours delay before, but It's over 24 hours past my first try now. I've DMed Lazlo with some more info so weĺl see.

I have been using Dan.com recently to close a few deals. Their system and support is top notch.

Agree. Nothing bad to say about them. Every venue has issues but they're easy to work with.

I was informed by Laszlo that my issue is because I don't use Dan's nameservers next to the additional verification nameserver so I'll update those and revert back to my own once done.

Yes, that did the trick. Worked in seconds after changing DNS, a couple failed, probably because I tried to fast after updating DNS servers.

Good morning @davidc1,

We notice that Chinese buyers primarily use:
  1. Bank transfer
  2. Creditcard
  3. Alipay
  4. Wechatpay
Have a great weekend.

Good morning all,

We have encountered a brief downtime last night due to a massive spike on the platform. We have taken measures to counter it and measures to ensure this will not happen again.

Have a great weekend all.
