Just hand reg'd Crept.net. 1 word 5 L. Thoughts on .net domains?

Not sure what I want to do with it yet. Most likely park the domain and try and drive ad revenue.

Thanks,
Bill

I would say $800

Thank you! Would you mind sharing why you think it would be worth that value? I always love hearing others input.

I don't think so imp. You can get a 4 letter .net with that amount of money.
For me, reg fee, but that is only my opinion
Hope you get it sold bud.

Thank you for your feedback! I hope I can get it sold as well. Might try and park the domain to drive ad revenue. Not sure yet! Just testing the waters

Unless you get a massive amount of traffic you won’t be making any money, maybe start a blog with good topics about crypto. I never done it but I hear that is a way to attract traffic

It is an interesting name, past form of creep and a dictionary word as I see it. At 16M Google results not that uncommon a word.

While .net not as strong as a decade ago, still good number of sales relative to the number for sale (not as good as .com or .org but still major).

So who might want it? A surveillance/investigation type of business maybe, or one that sold products and services to that sector. Possibly a blogger, writer, etc. in that area. Maybe some sort of nonprofit organization that did investigative work?

I don't think it is a high probability sale, but definitely see value in your name @lilbballer27. I think that @jim h estimate is in right range. I would probably put a BIN price of like $998 to stay in psychological zone of $$$, but with make offer and be flexible somewhat.

Best wishes for it.

You're going to have to do a lot better with a dot net to have any value. Creep yes, crept no.

Bob, thank you for the thoughtful review. I do appreciate it! I am just getting back into the domain world after a few years break. I love the thoughts on "Who might want it" it's great!

Edit: I had not initially realized the other domain introduced by @wurdd is actually currently for sale. Therefore it seems to me improper to discuss it as comparison, and I have taken any mention of it out of my comments.

But the fact crept is a bit less common, but not uncommon, might actually make it more of a brand possibility. Crept to me implies something you do to avoid trouble, so has a positive implication ..... I may well be wrong in my thinking.

Although of course only small percentage of brands are choosing .net extension.

One thing to look at, not usually to directly contact, is to see how popular word is in company names. Here is list for crept in Open Corporates. I see that at least in France it appears crept is a last name. I note that 12 of 13 are in Europe, which is unusual. Usually US business names dominate searches on that database.

If one view crept as similar to crypt as in cryptocurrency or cryptography I thought of a tag line :xf.cool: “crept: we put the e in crypto!”

best wishes for name,

Bob

... Most likely park the domain and try and drive ad revenue...
Just a tip for readers, many parking services have strict rules, for example sedo: “Domain owner may not re-direct traffic to their parked domain name. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, traffic redirected from other domain names, traffic originating from advertising and purchased traffic such as pop-under or exit traffic… Domain owner may not generate traffic to their domain name(s) or clicks on advertising links by any of the following methods: listings on newsgroups or discussion boards (with the exception of "domain for sale" postings), bulk emailing, social media postings, iframes, zero pixel frames, hitbots, clickbots, spiders, CGI scripts, java-scripts, or any other similar method…”

... “crept: we put the e in crypto!...
... then we took out the o. ← there, fixed it for you!
