Hello everyone,

I'm creating this post to keep you all informed of Epik.com Happy Hours!
Every day, we'll try to discount an extension and give you the chance to register & invest in this extension.

Today, we're featuring .US extension, and we're discounting it to $1.50 for new registrations starting now, and will be ON for the next 5 hours.

sir. what kind of nonsense actions and email I get from yer support about some domain suspension where u take away my domains and suspend them.. and all I do ever is just park alll my names at bodis like millions of other domains are parked there.. will u just randomly blindly for no reason keep deleting domains from epik accounts from yer clients.. with no issues at all with domain.. telling people to go fix a problem somewhere that cannot be fixed because it does not exist there... in fact both of these domains below i had reregistered with u this year.. and I had it on 2 different registrars beforehand.. never had issue iwth it there.. and it was also ever just parked at bodis.. so i am forced to conclude epik has an easy trigger for tkaing away and banning peoples domains.. same ones they pay u money for. i would ask to kindly stop this nonsense.. before people start moving their biz elsewhere... or me at least... thanks.

Guys, do not ping Rob, Sufyan if you have problem with domains. Epik company is not limited to them alone. You can also send all your questions to other representatives, like me.

About domains - I will clarify what happened, but most likely they were blocked for violating one of the rules of the Registrar / DMCA / spam.

Clarified the question about your domains.
Their work was suspended by Afilias (the registry), not Epik (as registrar).

I read your post. The answers are simple and do not give a solution, they state the facts.

1) According to the rules, we can't just block a domain without specifying the reasons. The Registrar has the right to block the domain (for violation of the terms of service), as well as the registry. We can't cancel the action registry, and also to influence them.

2) If you intercept domains, you should understand that some of them have their own "dark" history. For this reason, some of your parked domains have a dark history - the registry blocked the domain, not us.

3) The only solution for you is to communicate with the registry + the Registrar's representative and find out the real reasons for blocking and future unlocking.

im sorry thats not a soliution. thats a run around. if this ever happens again to domains i paid for on epik, while it does not happen for me elsewhere, i am going to go.. well... elsewhere with my names. thanks for nothing.

i deal with 15 regiatries and had thousands of names over years,
yet it happened with you.
here is how i feel now with my domains being with u: UNSAFE.

if yer clients can wake up any day to an email from yer support saying your domains were suspended ... and in that email give solution which does not even exist or show a problem when we go to fix it... then clerly, the problem is you, not registry. and as registrar u shuld make sure u target the right names that have actual problems and provide solutions to fix them. instead of so easily just obeying suspension requests. its one thing to suspend names and tell people to click few spamhaus buttns to fix it, and its somewhere else altogether to tell them to fix it on spamhaus which does not even show a problem with them. thats called disrespect, misinformation, not caring, and run around.

now from this i will wake up every day wondering if today epik suspended more of my names.
which to me menas i wont register names with u.

A registrar CAN NOT debate these suspensions with the registry, until client provides a proof.
Each registry manage that part of their business the way they find suitable.
For, .INFO, which is managed by Afilias, you'll be suspended for these domain names doing whatever activity the registry find malicious (They have their own mechanisms) no matter what the registrar you're using is.
If you feel unsafe registering .INFO domains, then it's absolutely your choice to use that extension or move on to a different one.
Again, Epik did not suspend any names. We've forwarded the messages that we've received from the registry to you.

i did nothing malicious on those names.
therefore u as epik company are supporting and emailing clients about suspensions which are simply wrong and unfair. and u are demnding clients fix problems which do not exist and are not fixable. how do you expect yer clients to feel when they pay you for domains, do nothing out of ordinary with them, are accused of maliciou activity, and then asked to fix problems which do not exist? this is definition of taking someone on a stupid ride........ do you plan to continue in future to just email clients about domain suspensions which are not by error of client but by error of registry... is this how you plan to handle the future at epik with regards to that? or are you gonna do something to make sure the problem is fixed where it needs to be fixed? which clearly isn't your clients end.. where yer clients do nothing with those names.

This is not possible. We cant stop those suspensions. They're done at the registry side, and not the registrar side.
This is not Epik's problem/issue, thus we cant really resolve. It's the registrant's responsibility to clear their names, and defend their status with the registry.
All we're trying to do here is to help you out.

no. this isn't help. this is registry throwing around false accusations, and you, forwarding them to your clients asking clients to fix them.

do you like to be falsely accused in life and then asked to fix it?

maybe if other registrars aren't so easily sending round those notices to clients means they are actually doing something to verify those accusations first. with registry. but i guess for you its easier to just forward false accusation to client.

i think im just going to move my names to where i am not falsely accused by the registrars...
instead of wondering which of my names u will email me got suspended tomorrow morning just for having them parked on bodis for 500 years in same old ways i ever do.

There really is nothing Epik can do here. If you would have registered these same domains with any other registrar the outcome would have been exactly the same.

as i said i owned these names for like 2-3 years on diff registrars.. this here is just a rereg with epik, cause they had cheapest promo to reg......... never had issues before.
nor with my other names.

I know you owned these before at other registrars and I totally get your frustration and that you feel irritated by the fact that this cannot be solved easily.

That being said, in cases like this there is unfortunately hardly anything a registrar can do. You ought to take it up with the registry.

This stuff happens (relatively) frequently at all registrars. There's not always an easy explanation why at any given point in time a domain get suspended because of alleged malicious use. The upside is that if you work with the registry these suspensions can be lifted.

I wish you best of luck and hope it works out for you. If you run into further issues I suggest you head over to the epik review thread as all this activity in this thread is probably getting some people excited about promos that aren't there :)

@alcy this happened to one of my domains at dynadot.

I explained dynadot the situation.

I also explained spamhaus the situation and told them that i havent done anything.

You can write to spamhaus here - [email protected] and provide them details of ownership. They will reply with solution or whitelist your domains.

Hope it helps and after the problem is solved, hope you realize that @epik had nothing to do with this.

if u never had it happen to you then you will never understand how it feels to be wrongly accused of maliocius actions on your names. beneath me my bumhole,.... whats beaneath is for registry then epik to wrongly accuse people and take their domains!!!! thats whats beaneath! its a bug of registry plain and simple. invalid suspensions. and epik instead of clarifying it before emailing clients, just becomes part of problem and emails clients to fix problems that do not exist and are wrong accusations.

anyway... case is closed for me. im not going to register or transfer or deal with registrar where i just have to wonder every nite what domains are going to get suspended by them when i wake up. heck with that. im out of here. if your going to wrongly accuse people there are consequences... so no biz from me.... its like putting a guy in jail who is innocent.. not good!

enjoy epik everyone. this is more than i can handle as person.

hi,
i think these things must be address on host level, not at domain level, host should suspend the account, but domain should not be suspended. it is host responsibility of malicious content and other things. domain is nothing to do, we have hundreds of domain, but whenever we receive complain , it receive at our server end, ip end, or host end, not at domain end. because domain is just name registration.
If any domain is causing malicious activity then it would be because of host so host provider will deal with these issue.

but i think you are in safe hands, as EPIK is good registrar, they are peace loving people, try to contact them, they will help you.

if this prob is not addressed where it begins at registry.. then countless innocent domain owners will receive such suspensions and notices about their names in future.

this cannot be allowed to continue. sadly, a little guy like me may be able to get his name back here and there, but i wil never be able to fix this wrongful accusations and suspensions at source.. thisi can only be done by registrars and big players like epik.

if epik does not take action to prevent false suspensions and accusations from happening in future.. innocent domainers will continue to receive such notifications, lose names, and be wrong accused.

the ball is entirely in epik's court on this. fixing my couple names, or the other guys names who got such notice... will solve NOTHING at source of problem. i hope epik does what needs to be done so innocent people aren't made feel guilty and lose their names and are forced to fix or prove their innocence.
