Trump calls for Memorial Day church reopenings but sends mixed signals on enforcement

Trump described churches, synagogues and mosques as "essential" institutions and said that if governors decline to reopen them this weekend he would "override" them. But legal experts say Trump has limited authority to force changes to state coronavirus orders and White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany acknowledged minutes after Trump spoke that it is, "up to the governors."

@mr-x oops. I put it in the biggest text NP has available, I bolded it. Should I add some lightning animated gifs next to it for you?

Re-read what you posted:

Trump described churches, synagogues and mosques as "essential" institutions and said that if governors decline to reopen them this weekend he would "override" them. But legal experts say Trump has limited authority to force changes ( Correct, limited to enforcing federal law and the constitution )

to state coronavirus orders and White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany acknowledged minutes after Trump spoke that it is, "up to the governors."

"up to the governors" doesn't mean the President can't enforce the law.
Back to lying your ass off.

I'd like to know if the quote from McEnany was before or after the press conference. Not what she said at the Press conference. MSNBC doesn't make that clear

You're a blind follower, reposting bs from an idiot. You also have trouble remembering things:

I've never hidden from you. I'm right here responding to your bs. So you can stop lying about it. I've went over it many times but due to your memory issues, once more.

I add on to a post because I don't play your dragging stuff out games. Just like I said in the other thread, you like to go on and on for pages about something simple. You get yourself into these holes, and just like Trump, try to go back and do cleanup.

see:

Just like Trump, you're your own worst enemy. You constantly double down on stupidity instead of moving on. Will never be a good look for you.

This is where you do your normal breakdown stuff. 2 posts and counting.

Back to lying your ass off.

Press conference after the Presidents remarks,

Which changes nothing. States will have to reopen churches, sooner rather than later.

Unbelievable how ignorant politics / hate makes people.

The same geniuses that were sure the President and half of his staff had violated the Logan act or the emoluments clause because they heard it on cable news or social media are arguing the #10A allows states to ignore the #1A of the constitution because orange man bad.

I'm not triggered. I'm dumbfounded how stupid this is. How many times are you going to let the media lie to you? When do you start thinking the circular firing squad wasn't a good idea?

You have become obsessed with gay slurs towards me so I have to think that deep down you want me?
Is that it? Are you dreaming about me before you go to bed and when you wake up?

As flattered as I am you have to know that when I reach for a Peach, I do not want to grab a branch.

God Bless America :xf.grin:

conveniently-her-hair-is-also-a-rug-photo-u1

Now you are overcompensating with that picture.

And I never once expressed any gay slur toward or anyone. (Unless gay itself is a slur, which of course it's not unless one is a "homophobe.") I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of calling others closeted gays because of the political posts they made - when you do the same thing.

For the record, I don't think Michelle Obama is a man, though she is a bit mannish. And I think jokes about Putin and Trump being in a gay S&M relationship are hopelessly juvenile and reflect some kind of deep frustration. I didn't care that Clinton got a blowjob in the Oval Office at the time (but his smearing of the poor girl afterwards was typically sociopathic of him). I don't care if Obama is gay (unless he had his gay lover whacked).

Those are all diversions from the very important matters of what they do as world leaders, which is mostly extort money from the middle class to enrich themselves and their pals as they murder innocent people around the world in the name of protecting so-called "freedoms" on one hand while they continuously remove real freedoms with the other hand.

And I am not crazy about the babe pictures in this thread because (as annoying as she is) I don't want Enlytend or other women to feel unwelcome here.

So far as my pining for you, I won't spoil your fantasies. We all need them.

You made exactly zero points with that post. Like missing 5 penalty kicks in a row and then doing a victory dance. Some real headscratchers.

"I call on governors to allow places of worship to open right now".. this weekend. If they don't do it, I'll override the governors". President Trump, Head law enforcement official in the USA.

Oh, late night Trump and Sessions going at it:

Trump
3 years ago, after Jeff Sessions recused himself, the Fraudulent Mueller Scam began. Alabama, do not trust Jeff Sessions. He let our Country down. That’s why I endorsed Coach Tommy Tuberville (@TTuberville), the true supporter of our #MAGA agenda! https://secure.winred.com/tommytubervill

Jeff Sessions
@realdonaldtrump
Look, I know your anger, but recusal was required by law. I did my duty & you're damn fortunate I did. It protected the rule of law & resulted in your exoneration. Your personal feelings don't dictate who Alabama picks as their senator, the people of Alabama do.

Jeff Sessions
Tuberville's a coward who is rightly too afraid to debate me. He says you're wrong on China & trade. He wants to bring in even more foreign workers to take American jobs. That's not your agenda and it's not mine or Alabama's. I know Alabama. Tuberville doesn't.

Judge Napolitano: Trump doesn't have right to override governors on church openings
Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano said Friday that President Trump does not have the authority to force governors to reopen churches.

"As ill-advised as these gubernatorial orders are, as essential as is the right to worship, as fundamental as it is, as absolutely protected by the first amendment as it is, the president does not have any authority to override the governors," he told Fox's "The Daily Briefing."

He can't order them to do anything, but he could federalize the National Guard and use them to to protect the constitutional rights of church-goers from local law enforcement goons. Which would, of course, force the governors to back off. That would be entertaining.

JFK for example, did exactly this when a governor challenged him on civil rights: https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-national-guard-deployments-timeline-htmlstory.html
