If you pay with $7.49 price — you will see that in invoice.
Customers quickly spent quotas for $7.49. At ~30 minutes.

Because whatever is going on now is somewhat confusing. Yesterday I saw prices bounce seemingly randomly between $7.49 and $8.49. Was frustrating because it was back at $8.49 when I first wanted to do my transfers.

Very late last night I was able to finally transfer over 150 domains at $7.49 .. so I'm good personally (thanks for that ), but I was just checking for others and sure enough it's back to $8.49 again.

Obviously $8.49 is still a great price, but it's understandably frustrating for some to see $8.49 when $7.49 has been announced .. and no clear parameters or mention to end time.

That is what happened to me. I registered a domain name at the discount price, then stepped away to do some online banking and came back (2) hours later and registered a few more names and the discount was gone without any notice or deadline. I also reached out to Epik support about the discrepancy and received a vague answer...

All shares with a transfer have a certain quota, after which they are closed. From time to time, they will be launched without any ads or additional mailing.

So it turns out that the entire quota allocated for domain transfer ends in 30-40 minutes. If you are migrating 150 domains, there is another client who wants to migrate 150. Another 10, another 500 or more.

That's how the quotas end fastly, and you see that price ($8.49). I am sure that Rob and Sufyan will say the same thing.

May be people didn't read what Makise said about this promo.

Don't take this the wrong way @Makise .. but you really haven't been clear. Several times you've mentioned the promo starting .. but often as soon as people check it's $8.49.

I'm pretty sure we all understand "flash sale" and "limited time" .. but if you say it started and then keep saying it but people see $8.49 in between then unless clearer details are given we're simply going to assume something is technically wrong.

I'm thinking maybe you're saying there are random promos at random times with an unknown quota?

I suppose some people are fine with checking every 10 minutes 24 hours a day while not even sure if there will even be a next one .. but I think for most people it could definitely be clearer. Again .. it's totally fine if there's no more promos or if it's over .. but please just be clear about it so people aren't wasting their time waiting for something that might or might not ever happen.

This is true. But again. As I said earlier, the promotion is announced and ends immediately. Many clients have their portfolio of domains, and immediately begin to transfer the domains. You enter when the quota has already ended. Who first moved — the one and got the price of $7.49

As soon as the promotion starts, I can't keep track of how many customers have moved the domain. This is hundreds of domains every minute. If you or other customers see a price of $8.49, the quota is currently over without prior notification. The promo can start again, but it will be discussed later.

These promos are launched whenever possible and I don't have the ability to regulate them. I can say that they are launched when there is an opportunity and when finances allow it.

As for the quota, it ends quickly. This is usually up to (est.) 3000 domains at a time.

When you get an alert about new reply to the watched thread and somehow you missed to open the thread than You will not recieve any alerts until you visit the thread again.

I love epik - my half portfolio there but when they needed customers they were giving promos daily or twice a day .

make it 25$ renew/transfr/reg for .io and you wil be gettng whole bunch of names and clients...beating the best current rate by couple bucks...

I think tech registry gets a credit allotment of promotions per quarter, I would think Epik would love to give such deals all day everyday, but it is simply not possible.

As stated above with .io price, it is excessively high as, I am not sure why some can sell for $28, and others $50, $75, $99 etc...
