It's time for the domain industry's version of March Madness

The best registrar in the business for 2020

Registrars that got less than 2 votes from last time were not included, Uniregistry being acquired by GoDaddy is not included.

the last big poll here.

Can NameSilo defend their crown? Will Epik finally come through and attain the top spot? GoDaddy always a contender. Any surprises?

I normally don't like to put people on ignore. But if I weigh out what I dislike more, seeing the same type of comments by the same people repeatedly, over and over, seemingly offering zero personal thought behind their comment, rather acting as an echo chamber absent of a nucleus. Maybe it's time to reconsider, and evaluate.

Well said, I recently had to come to the decision that it's best to use the ignore instead of letting a few members ruin the experience of NP for me. I myself was very close from walking away from NP when I decided it's better to ignore the problem makers and get the value from NP for which I came here for.

Honestly I recommend anyone who is tired of certain content to the point of wanting to walk away try ignoring the sources of such content and focus on the real reason for coming here in the first place.

Think it's pretty much done, this one the same 4 as the new one you started.

1. Epik - Official Winner
1. Dynadot - Unofficial Winner if you remove the 26+ Employee votes
3. Godaddy
4. Name Silo

@frank-germany , while I can understand why you might have thought I left namePros because of Epik/Fanboi invol
vement, my decision had more to do with wanting to silence myself, as if it's not apparent, I'm not/haven't been feeling too stable as of late, and while I seek help personally in the outside world, I wanted to mitigate any unforeseen instances in the online world where I may wake into a situation I'd rather not be in, due to an overactive stimuli, or an uneducated/short-sighted opinion that I might have put in print while possibly not being in my right mind. Specifically speaking, I wanted to continue commenting on the ICA thread and address certain aspects (such as spam) of the CQD thread, but with everything going on for me personally, and everyone else globally, I don't think now is the appropriate time to be divided. Just my opinion.

thank you @Grilled

Congratulations Rob to both you and your hardworking staff! So thankful that you can get the recognition you truly deserve for the efforts and innovation you have driven to make the industry a better place.

I think if everyone could see the depth of benefit behind the enterprises you are rolling out, this would not have even been close. Looking forward to seeing the full scope of your Epik Labs projects, and being part of the lasting impact they each will uniquely make. It is a GREAT TIME to be a domainer!

I am also very thankful for all of the participants, the motivation behind their own valued votes, and the respective views towards how great their registrars are in serving their unique interests. I've learned a great deal over this past month about what resources and processes separate each of them, and what domain investors value with respects to both expectations and consumer experience.

I have no doubt it will all serve to make the market a better place. Congratulations again!!! :xf.smile:

The best registrars at the moment
About the price, the level of security, and the ease of use I've ever met.
Other registrars I see this side but on the other hand lose (on domain name)
Epik outside .com, the other dot prices slightly higher.
As for the registrars above, I think it's pretty good, balancing the price and security level of the domain name.
I am not talking about other services like hosting, ssl, etc...
I am very concerned about domain security and price, which is a core issue for a domain registrar.

Of course, I am not referring to trademark registrars..
Because I see domain registrars like markmonitor, cscglobal, they are domain name and trademark protection registrars. And their prices are also quite high ( About $40/gtld)

There is some subtle genius in your idea but where's the play by play? :)
I break it down on the podcast as well, but hadn't considered doing a play-by-play. Maybe for the championship round?

Almost the exact number of votes from last poll.
@Intelliname please explain what you were disagreeing with 914 vs 915 is almost the exact same number.
He may have disagreed with the oversimplification of mentioning only the vote totals to imply that the two were nearly equal since the numbers are similar, but the voters represented by those totals are not similar because:
  • Last year, anyone could create an account to vote.
  • Many New Members were unable to vote in this year's poll.
The total votes would have been higher this year if we had allowed all members to vote, but our account-level algorithms only allowed some of them to vote.

We hope that helps.

No dynasties.

You have my input conflated with someone else I think. I've never mentioned the relativity of comparing prior years by total votes as a means to gauge legitimacy. You were referencing a post done by someone else pre it's deletion. The only comparison I had done was with respects to member attacks being identical in count, in terms of numbers, their likes for one another, and the synchronicity of them being timed within minutes of one another. Regardless of the time the countered post was made.

That post was removed by moderators, and now per above they are providing clarification on my behalf.

I am wondering can the poll be edited to make it 100% transparent - who voted for what. I'm enduser, I voted, even though I did not post a comment with my selection yet - would not mind if it becomes visible...

Why?
If only 21 voted, who cares about this poll?

You know the names of relevant registrars, test them for yourself.

They have done top 5 or 6 in these polls over the years.

Why? namecheap .com renewal fee too much.

Always baffled, Namecheap not really “cheap”.

This isnt meant as a shot at Namecheap.. Just want kno does low namecheap com rate exist?
