DAN.COM (formerly known as Undeveloped.com) is on a path to be become the biggest domain marketplace in the world. We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

At DAN.COM you will get the highest value for the lowest commission around. Due to our domain transfer automation, we can offer significantly faster handling of domain transactions and payouts (usually within 24 hours) at the lowest fee charged by any domain marketplace.

We've been the first on many fronts and proudly will continue to keep innovating. We were the first to offer optimized for sale pages since 2013, the first to provide payment plans in the form of lease to own and rentals and also the first and only domain marketplace offering free SSL on all domains parked with us for over a year now.

Hi @LaszloSchenk You people have been showing irrelavent domains to the buyer after submitting their initial offer. Why dont you simply show the respective seller's domains instead?
Please have a look.
Hi @DNGear,

I will relay your feedback to the product team for reviewal. We have quite some features in our agenda but I will make sure this gets discussed.

Best regards,

Thank you for your thoughts Laszlo. I do agree that it will cause a power shift to the seller (which might be right given that sellers often deal with anonymous people only filling out an unverifiable first name), but I'm not sure if it will necessarily lead to more dropouts, as you could argue that it might lead to more closed deals (as the seller can still make use of the buyer's last offer) and higher sales (as the seller might indeed be more incentivized to counter-offer than is currently the case). You could even think about a mechanism whereby this option is only allowed/available if the seller's counter-offer is not more than 100% of the potential buyer's last offer, so that the power-balance between the parties remains more or less in place. Anyway, it was just a thought and given that not many other persons seem to think that this could be useful, it might indeed not be worth further pursuing. Have a great weekend too!
Good morning @MarkedMarket,

Thank you for your response.

We have tested it in the past and noticed the difference in dropouts. I completely understand the idea behind it as we have had it available before. However, the data gathered moved us towards allowed the last offer submitted to remain binding only.

Always happy to receive input @MarkedMarket. Thank you for sharing.

this is an amazing system ... no powershifts at all.
both buyer and seller should be 100% responsible and bound by all offers they make, regardless of following counteroffers... for a period of time.. say 7 days... during that time both buyer and seller should be able to accept any offer they please.

this will lead to an infinitely greater number of sales. and it requires nothing more than a line that mentions next to each offer that this is how it;ll go down.

kudos to those markets that already have this going. and i would advise those that do not, to strongly consider it. some sellers/buyers may not like it.. but in the end, it results in more sales not less, and more advantages than disavntages. its that simple. but... i do not expect dan.com to listen. i guess they can be hard headed like that sometimes. despite the many feedbacks they do listen to. what say you mr @LaszloSchenk ?
Dear @alcy,

Thank you for your feedback.

We are not hard-headed at all. In fact, I think we are among the few that actually built and implemented many of our users' requests. The only issue remains that we cannot honor all requests that are submitted and especially not at the timeframe the submitters have in mind. We have our own roadmap and try to develop as many feature requests as imposed by you guys in between. However, we are not able to produce all requests or within a fast amount of time without implicating our own growth.

All relevant feedback is noted and discussed. All viable requests are added to a list and will be dealt with accordingly. I only ask for your patience and allow us to do what we need to do. Posting comments like we are hard-headed or unbelievable for having certain request wait too long before being developed will not speed up the process.

Regards,

Regards,

sometimes i get feeling people at dan misunderstand the effort clients here make when they give feedback or take time to discuss features etc. it means that they like and care about your company. not the other way around. so I hope you continue to see what we do here in terms of comments as a positive thing. i would not even be on this thread, let alone post here, if i didn't like dan.com or want to continue to use it and see it grow and evolve!

i was commenting in this case about implementing system of letting all offers be valid for say 7 days. for both buyer and seller. if the most successful auction house on the planet (Gd) uses it, and does well with it, then i think its posible for you to at least consider it. and discuss it with people here. instead you just said no. and expect people to stop talking about it further, or not call you stubborn. plz let people freely discuss how to improve your site and join the discussion instead of dismissing right away.

i also brought up several times the fact you cut the portfolio folio link at 500 domains. and see no urgency in fixing or in very least if you know about the bug, to put a bold line of text above this link that says domain lists only show 500 names. because it is my view that it is catastrophic for sellers like me who may use such link as a redirect for all domains.. for months or even for years.. relying on its full functionality.. only to then realize it is cut at 500. because let me tell you, it is not easy to notice.. and especially when such basic functionality is basically expected to be.. well.. fully functional. yet you do not see the gravity or potentail of lost businss or sales from sending buyers to a folio link that cuts at 500 domains... for months or for years... if u canot fix it now, PLEASE put a bold text in there to indicate folio is limited to 500 names. there are tons of people who less than 500 names.. but there are equally tons who have more than 500.

so these are just things to work out and I am happy to do this here with others in friendly civilized way. thanks! :)

@LaszloSchenk can you take a look at the automatic invoices? Because when I, as an company (from The Netherlands), sell a domain name (falls under digital services) to an other company (outside The Netherlands but in the EU), you see "VAT 0%" on the invoice. But that is wrong according to the Dutch tax authorities. There should be "VAT reverse charge" on the invoice instead of "VAT 0%". I also emailed this to Dan.com but there was not response.

I am also VAT registered. As I understand it, the reverse VAT only applies if you sell to an individual in another EU country. But would be good to hear what DAN has to say.

When I sell to private person I use MOSS. Then the VAT of the country of the buyer is applied. You can choose the MOSS option at settings on Dan.com. If I would deliver not digital goods to a company from another EU country, fitting 0% VAT is possible.

The following image comes from the Dutch tax office website. Unfortunately it is in Dutch. I tried to translate important things. The problem is "0% VAT" is not the same as " VAT reverse charge".

Thanks, these rules are far too complicated, I think. I am actually looking into whether I can become VAT excempt.

@DAN.COM @LaszloSchenk Can you please tone down on the JavaScripts (or ? coding)?

Sometimes I need to access DAN via mobile browser and I don't have a high spec phone.

At first, long ago, accessing DAN is a breeze.

Then, initially the dashboard page couldn't load properly off and on but refreshing works (with "unresponsive script" message or something like that), so I didn't think of complaining since it still works.

Now I can't finish loading at all so no way I can respond to any chat window via mobile browser. Had to wait until I can access my desktop just to reply all the messages.

Tried different browsers but all didn't work on mobile. Even the front page is hard to load and doesn't load properly in the end.

So currently I can only access DAN via desktop which isn't good because I don't always have access to a desktop, except during off-office hours like now.

Please fix the script/coding/etc.

===================================

On a separate matter, I noticed I could no longer close a chat window by clicking outside the window, forcing me to click the x button which is way too close to the delete chat button. It's now too easy to accidentally delete a crucial and ongoing deal, not something I want to happen at all. If I ever accidentally delete the chat, can I restore it back?

@LaszloSchenk
it was so cool before when we opened a sale or offer window in middle of screen, and then could click anywhere outside that window to close it...

well suddenly lately this was disabled.. and now we gotta find the little X to close the window... much less efficient etc.. i think you get the picture.

any chance you can bring back the old method? im sure we just all got used to it. please?
ty :)

Why can’t we communicate with a prospect without accepting or rejecting an offer? Its super awkward to have to decline a low offer just to send a message. Also at some point will you guys start blocking repeat non paying offenders?
