I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

I'm not going that far, but the domains are so good this week that even my wife is egging me on to snag a few of them.

i only own some 30 .ca now.. and find it bit too hard to sell.. im talking handregs.. off expired mostly... i rarely reg... usually do not even check the lists.......... still this is nice sale... for a good keyword... vapy(.de) sold for 11k...... personally i do not think I would live long enough to see my name sell for near that price.. i guess .ca and .de just aren't in same class. imo. cheers. happy sales.

Just got an email from Siber saying my backorders are heading to auction. I was expecting 4 but the email mentions 6 names? Thing is, 2 of those names were caught by other registrars (MyID and Namespro)!!!

Is this a common mistake, or is Siber looking at a different TBR Results list than I am?

well, myid cleans up again. Sibername with second place. (for the most valuable domains). although siber might have the better quality.



I’m in a lot of auctions this time. Thankfully I’m already “preapproved”. Going to be an expensive week...

Nope. This list is showing the correct registrars

And the Siber auctions page is showing active auctions for the 2 names

I thought so too, but I triple checked the TBR results and the names were caught by the main MyID and Namespro registrars...not numbered companies

Sibername has made that mistake before, several times...

In the future, if you have an question about which numbered company is which, just use the TBR Results I post, which are put through a translation table for each specific Registrar.

Nevermind. That's one of the domains MyID has and some joker bid it up @ Siber to troll them, haha. Hopefully that'll get Siber to fix their auctions and prevent this from happening all the time.. I've told them about this issue a long time ago and obviously they didn't really care.

Well, as you can see from those sales, 2 were businesses, 2 were to a domainer. Kinda steep price for a domainer on those names though. In any case, realtors, consultants, businesses, etc.. The only problem is that small timers like most realtors/consultants are cheap and won't spend much. So if you can get them dirt cheap, and you're willing to sell cheap (under $1K) maybe you'll get some sales. But I wouldn't go buying a lot of them at XXXX because there aren't that many sales in the XXXXX range to cover those investments.

I'd love to own my first name, and I know other people who would too - I've actually had people ask me to keep an eye out to see if if theirs drops and let them know the price.

First names will always be a prime sales opportunity, but like rlm said, it all depends on how much you paid for it. Get them cheap and you'll make tidy profit, like the guy who hand-regged Carie.ca.

Wow, how much do you think it will go for? Surely Canadian in org is worth at least $$$$ even in a wholesale transaction, or am i way off? See so far the bid is just at $80. I see Australian in .org sold for $2100. Does anyone know what Canadian in .com sold for? Not in NameBio, but in GoValue says >$25,000.

Good question Bob, and it's a brand-new auction so the $80 is just a placeholder for now and it should rise considerably before it's all said and done.

I would estimate higher than Australian.org.

Another interesting one is a certain North Korean Politician.
