This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Picked SlotsForYou in .com on 29th Dec'19 for 20 USD and sold it for $300 USD on 12th Jan 2020@ Flippa. 250 USD profit within 15 days. Money making is very easy with the domains if you know what to sell.
No Crypto or stock market gives that ROI. #nomoreinfo will be provided.

Congratulations! Auction or Buy it Now? If auction then what was a starting price?

Here we go, few days ago:
Domain name: 8stars.com
Sale venue: DoaminsMeca.com
Listing type: Make offer with Buy-It-Now for $14873
Listing upgrades: just standart listing on my site
Seller: Me
Asking price: $14873
Sale price: $5000
Purchase venue: Made by me (2002)
Purchase price: $8 plus renewals
Details: I loved this domain, but it's time to reduce my portfolio.

The best move after so many year of domaining was to go with DNhat.com script (Josytal)
Once I do with him, and made my logo, description and professional look, the traffic and hits start role in and made sale only after couple of months. LOVE IT

How a Namepros sale thread could have pushed a bigger external sale later

A while ago I started a thread to sell some of my soon expiring dot.world domains.
In the thread, which was make-offer, I announced to renew some in the list but this could have been just Blah to potentially (naively) increase the attractivity of names.
There have not been many viewers and regarding the overwhelming number of sale threads here in the forum I was surprised to have one NP buyer for one name. I renewed a few better names of the list and closed the thread.
Shortly after closing one of my renewals sold outside of NP. It can be coincidence but to me it is more probable that a fellow NPer bought this name. He/She might have forgot to offer or expected that my renewal anouncement was fake and names would be sold for low BIN or be available for Closeout.

Domain name: Trend .world
Sale venue: Afternic, inbound
Sale date: 11.01.2020
Listing type: BIN
Sale price: 1,036 USD (payout 829 USD)
Purchase: GoDaddy Handreg 14.03.2015
Acquisition cost: 6 yearly reg fees = ca. 160 USD
Detail: In another tread there was a short discussion about the preference of stored domain lists including bulk auth codes against freshly ordered authcodes by domain when needed. Here I accidentially provided a non-valid code out of an elder list which I had downloaded before renewal of this domain. So the transfer (and payout) took longer than usual.

I apologize for offtopic, but it seems that this year more members (including myself) have changed the nameservers to Afternic ns3 and ns4.

Therefore, I think it would be nice to share whether the domain sold was BIN or Price Request.

LOL, pretty sure you could put a "liquid" name up here for $10 and nobody would buy it. :-P

Sold this last week. Payment since received. $455 net.

Hand reg'd November 11th, 2018.

Sold for lower than I think it's worth. Buyer was a college student looking to build his first business. I caved. Some things are more important in life than maximizing profit. Can't complain with a ~25x ROI.

Bio/thon/.com
Sold: 12/2019 for $2299 at Squadhelp
Payout: $1609
Held for about 2 months
Purchased via GD closeouts

I emailed 2 organizations that hold nature events of the same name and thought maybe one of them bought it, but that may not be the case by the look of the current website. I think I could've gotten more for it but oh well.
