Because it is actually on the mark versus 90% of domain names you see at NP which are off the mark.

What on the mark and off the mark means???

Off the mark - if you saw this domain being sold at NP it would be something like
doubleitornothing.com
an attempt to imitate a standard phrase or word(s) that ends up being off the mark.

Such “off the mark” domains are often described here at NP by the seller as “brandable” or “premium,” when in fact they are definitely not premium and probably not the greatest brand either.

Buyer OVERPAID. It happens. In the frenzy of a bidding war, you don't think straight.

I was actually planning to make a run for this domain at DropCatch while cruising down the highway. (Don't try it at home, kiddies.). But when the bidding topped $3K, I was OUT like a Shark Tank. Didn't realized they ran it up to $6K.

Two lessons: Even with the overvaluation, I still think doubledownornothing.com is worth more than $6K. Buyer can probably find a buyer some years down the line in the $20-50K range. But as a domainer, you've got to ask yourself...are you willing to lock up $6K of your balance and wait it out for the payout?

What if DoubleTrouble or DoubleDown or AllOrNothing came up tomorrow? They are much better investment options and since you spent your last $6K, you are up the creek and no crawdads in sight.

Get it? There's a lesson there. Domaining 101. Take notes.

Because it is a gambling related domain. Since gambling is becoming legal, these kind of domains are becoming more expensive.

This from the guy who advocated trying to get 100-200k for some relatively worthless domain that happened to match the name of some low end company. Advice he offered in the dark without even knowing what the domain is:
Allow to me play devil's advocate: Your .com is worth AT LEAST 10X your ask. $100-200K. At least.
Let's all retire early.
And then comes back to say that doubleornothing is probably worth a lot more than 6K:
I still think doubledownornothing.com is worth more than $6K. Buyer can probably find a buyer some years down the line in the $20-50K range.
You’re all over the place buddy. I think we’re going to need some more clarified advice from you if we want to retire early.

Ahhh....here it comes.

Remember friends, Keep It Positive!

If your goal with domaining is not to maximize your returns, then quit while you're ahead. Really. Do. It.

For the rest of us hustlers: Here's to 2020! May it be the best ever.

Why does it have to be a right or wrong situation? We both can be right. Win win.

Remember, ask for $100-200K. You may get it. Leave the peanuts for the circus elephants.

Buyer OVERUNDERPAID (imo)

However, I will note, DoubleItOrNothing.com has never been regged before. But, DoubleItOrNothing.Info was a deleted previously owned domain. #notcommon
