Apparently Musk had Jared Birchall, who the Los Angeles Times notes is the manager of Musk's family office, attempt to purchase the domain under a fake name in 2018.

"Defense brings up a march 2018 email from Birchall using the Jim Brickhouse name and email when he was trying to buy a web domain for Musk," reported Mac (twitter post). "The domain Musk wanted to buy was justballs.com.

Elon just got duped by hiring a con man as a PI.

Do you really think it's worth the risk for elon to be associated with a broker?

I mean, I could understand if Elon used a publicly traded company such as GoDaddy Broker services but for liability reasons definitely NOT a broker with a real name.

If he wanted the name, he would have acquired it. Likely, justballs didn't warrant the asking price, and that's saying something since the prospective buyer has deep pockets. The prospective buyer may like (arguably) idiotic domains, but surely he is not an idiot, and wouldn't agree to an unreasonable asking price.

I am really surprised the defense introduced this domain into testimony considering Elon is accused of calling someone a "pedo."

It looks to be retaliatory and certainly plays into the plaintiffs approach....IMO
