In the spirit and popularity of the "Your reg of the day" I'd like to start a thread that's part of our everyday lives as domainers. The Dreaded Domain Transfer.

You know that "day" when it's time to transfer out a domain from one registrar to another just to save a buck or two.

The time of the year when you have to sift thru all your handregs last year or even domains you paid big bucks for in the aftermarket and decide. Should I renew? or transfer?

Transfer!!!!

So the Rules.

1. Submit your domain transfer of the day either one or in bulk (optional but at your discretion)
2. Why you transferred (Optional but nice to hear) (trash talk the losing registrar :xf.wink:)
3. Tell us the GREAT Price you paid for the transfer.
4. How was your experience with the winning Registrar?
5. And if you Transfer out from THAT registrar a year later? lol Please refer to your original transfer post here just to have some continuity.

Note: You should EXPECT trash talk about your transfers. No fighting okay? Let's keep it civil.

Let me start with my @epik @Epik.com transfers today. (Your welcome @Rob Monster :xf.wink:)

DNAVR.com
TheftIQ.com
YouInjury.com
BTCVegas.com
Whats5g.com
BlockAU.com
GoNFC.com
And a bunch more but I "choose" to just put up these. YOU CAN TOO!

Why this thread?
Because just as exciting as it is to REG a new domain it is equally important that AFTER you REG a year later you CHOSE to RENEW via TRANSFER.

Let's be honest. Renewals are expensive. So if you get a great domain transfer offer AND you get to renew your favor domain. Why not tell the world!

I guess that's a true sign your domain is valuable. At least to you?:xf.wink::xf.grin:lol

So let's here it!

What's your Transfer of the Day?!?

Well, hopefully you settle in for a while and SHOOT THE MOON with us.

ICYMI, the folks who bounce between registrars to save a buck or two are not the target for this incentive.

That said, glad you were able to use that offer.

Is your Efty Lander resolving? Seems like not.

hmmm. looks like no?
Gotta have a look. Thanks.

umm ICYMI?

Also I already know your opinion about "bounceys" lol

your offer is the equivalent of my Grandma's tiny little "sari sari" store in the Philippines(basically like your corner bodega or deli store just tinier.) These were usually people who wanted to make extra money and built a "box" in front of their house.

She sold both regular priced stuff but understood she had to sell stuff "a cost" or close to it just to bring in people.

Usually Chewing Gum, Chips, Cigarettes,Sode, load for their sim cards. etc.

She had a chicken coop in the back yard. Sold the eggs at cost. the rest was profit.

The point is. These people could go anywhere else for their eggs and Cigarettes but they came to my Grandma because she has a winning personality.

And that's you buddy!

YUUUUUPPPP!!!

lol cmon bro. just play along!

Sure handregs are exciting. This is why the "Your Reg of the Day" thread has

It's not what you REG it's what you KEEP that's a true test of value I think.

I mean have you seen the crap being handreg over at Your Reg of the Day?

I'm guilty ten times over!

But if you actually renew via transfer which means probably you saved some money? That's a win win and we all love a win win don't we?

You miss out on paying double on renewals and you get to keep your favorite domain another year.

That's a great story to me.

actually a better analogy would be. Meeting that hot sexy girl at the bar and you "close the deal" and a year later you still with her and "maybe" you buy her a diamond ring.

or

You are a restauranteur. You open a new restaurant "Molecular Gastronomie". The first year is crucial. They said if you survive the first you. Then you are Golden.

Same thing here. So what's your Transfer of the Day @imadoer

haha. only time will tell buddy. Let's be honest how many people handreg without "research"? raise their hands.

Most times people handreg and then regret it later. Namepros is littered with threads like this where people share their dumbest handreg.

In fact, not many will agree but as soon as people hear some new "niche" keyword they quickly handreg the best ones.

Some do this WITHOUT any RESEARCH. This thread is NOT about the handregs you Let delete. Plenty of threads for these on NP.

This is about the ones you CHOSE to TRANSFER just to add another year to your investment. It shows your confidence in your domain and the brains to want to save money.

but there has to be some handregs or aftermarket purchases that went well.

A "transfer" signifies that or course a "renewal" does the same thing. But I suspect the "Transfers" have more to do about saving money.

So keep/and having faith in a domain + saving money in renewals via transfer.

I really don't see anything negative about it. So it is a "celebration" of sorts just as with a handreg.

Well that's good. I'm in my first year with Epik. So we shall see. Transferring out of Epik would not necessarily reflect on Epik as a Registrar but more about the bottomline which is the status of a domainer's wallet. One should never take it personal if they leave.

For sure, it’s a business.

it just helps to make life easy, hone down my focus.

Havent looked back, love them!

Nice idea for a thread but it it has been a little derailed...my effort to get it back on track is:

Garden Hot Tub (in the commercial extension)

I mean really, who doesn't want to see a hot tub steaming in their garden in the winter?!?! Rip off those clothes and inhibitions and jump in for some special time with the one you love...or at least someone you like a whole lot. I left godaddy because the privacy add on charge is too much...and it's free at you know who! (I took advantage of the 6.49 deal)

I will transfer 2 domains out of NetworkSolutions.com after the first 60 days of reg-date (Transfer-Lock).

Not even keeping my domains with them for a full year.
Crappy interface and unsecure.

1. MeltingLeaf.com
2. From Network Solutions to @epik
3. Transfer cost $6.99
4. Winning Registrar has allowed the transfer without the Auth Code, awaiting that from losing Registrar

Cheers

@Rob Monster

$6.99 .com transfers through December 9. Combine that with all the free tools and legendary support, and it seems like a pretty good scenario even for the folks who missed the completely ridiculous Cyber Monday promo that @Sufyan Alani insisted on running. Sufyan's bringing the deals so be nice to him.
