Led By Donkeys registered TheBrexitParty.com. Nigel Farage is demanding to give it to him. Well, he can have the website... for a million quid, all proceeds goes to the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (price goes up £50k a day)

"Farage has no legitimate claim on the website. We bought it, it’s ours."

Funny but unfortunately (in this case) it doesn't work like that.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
They own BrexitParty.com so if they cared that much they'd move to that.

Led by Idiots are just that, brainless idiots funded by idiots.

How is Brexit, which occurred, June 23rd 2016,

still incomplete?

Unfortunately so. We didn't know what we were voting for apparently. Not true, it just got skewed by politicians.

Going to disagree. People voted for something that is a process rather than an end point. But they preferred to believe the fantasies sold by the likes of Farage. As a result, it's almost ruined the UK and divided the population. And for what? No one seems able to tell us exactly how leaving the EU will make our lives better. It's all just soundbites and, increasingly, lies.

Brexiters used to demand parliamentary sovereignty, but the moment they saw it in action they decided they hated that too.

But now no one wants to lose face, so we continue to proceed down a course that everyone knows is a bit silly, but can't admit that it is. Meanwhile, all domestic policy is ignored, and the general decline in living standards continues. Hate, anger and bitterness is all that remains of the UK. Thank heaven's I can get out if need be.

Every time someone tells me "they know what they voted for", I ask them to explain in detail the difference between the single market and the custom union. Basic concepts... But they just squirm because they have no idea. It's actually quite pathetic how manipulatable the UK population is. Most people didn't used to care one way or the other about the EU, but now have a huge irrational hatred for it due to a few throwaway slogans.

Rant over.

Because brexit was always going to be a process, not a single event. 40 years of complex trade arrangements takes time to unravel if you don't want to bankrupt yourself. Sadly a good chunk of our population live on a diet of soundbites and can't handle the actual detail or the complexity of what they voted for.

Whilst I don't disagree with everything that you've said, you've said many things that are somewhat hysterical.

As a result, it's almost ruined the UK
the general decline in living standards continues.
Hate, anger and bitterness is all that remains of the UK.

This whole business about the UK being a laughing stock or ruined. No, we're not. Not even close to it.

People may well be divided on one issue... so what?

It's the hysteria that has been successfully whipped up that is the problem. It's like Donald Trump in the USA.

We're not all going to die if we leave the EU, it's a process that we've been prevented from starting this far by politicians.

We'll like be every other country in the world. One of the large differentiators being that were the 5th largest economy.

I say stuff the increasingly negative mindest that just thinks the UK is a sack of potatoes with nothing to offer the world without the EU.

The UK is overplaying its hand. You can "believe" as hard as you want, but the reality is that the country is very reliant on industries like the banking and financial sector that are extremely mobile. If there was some great benefit I'd perhaps tolerate the risk of Brexit, but there isn't. It's simply being used to appease angry middle aged men.

Also, only one country in the world trades solely under WTO (as the hard brexiters demand). It's Mauritania - a country where 17% live in slavery.

So Brexit won't make us like "other countries".

The sad thing is, the problems in the UK are real, as are people's grievances, but they've been tricked into blaming it on the EU, rather than the real culprits.

Again, still waiting for someone to explain how life will be better after brexit.

Oh, and living standards are objectively falling. Hate crime is objectively rising and the economic outlook has been downgraded. Increasingly the argument for Brexit seems to be "it could be worse"

Brexiteers want a free trade deal with the EU. The WTO bit was to get us to actually leave.

On average trade negotiations take 2 to 3 years. So we'd be sitting on WTO for quite a while, ruining the economy.

And for what tangible benefit?

I hate to point out the obvious, but breaking off from the EU doesn't mean UK = Mauritania.

You're kinda doing my work for me here.

And for what tangible benefit?
And now the classic "tangible" evidence line.

Unfortunately, as you well know, these things are yet to be determined.

I never said we'd be like Mauritania. You claimed Brexit would make us like "other country in the world". I'm simply pointing out that only one other country in the world relies on WTO. Hence your assertion is incorrect.

Also, the fact that you see someone asking for tangible benefits as inappropriate when the UK is about to embark on a monumentally risky economic and foreign policy endeavour says everything.

Basically, brexiters have no freaking clue... They're just angry. All I ever hear is pathetic and simplistic football yob mentality - "we won, get over it".

The point about being like every other country is that we won't be ruled from another country other than our own. For better or for worse.

To me it feels that that ship has sailed and it keeps being repeated by the way people vote. Unless the tide changes then it is indeed tough, it doesn't matter what the tangible benefits or detriments are. The Brexit Party are now the largest individual party in the EU parliament, there's a reason for that.

I try not to use what I see portrayed in the media or on social media to form conclusions about people as a whole, I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Things in the media are overly emotional, negative and each side is very quick to call the other side wrong or stupid as demonstrated (by you :nailbiting:) in this thread and on social media even quicker to shut down the lines of communication just because someone doesn't agree with them or they can't force someone around to their way of thinking because they can't prove 'x,y,z'.

Onto a more positive note, for us both... this election may well begin to reveal whether or not people have changed their minds about Brexit. Unfortunately last time all politicians said they would 'do' Brexit when they didn't want to, which has led to what you described as...

Brexiters used to demand parliamentary sovereignty, but the moment they saw it in action they decided they hated that too.

I'll go back into my corner where Brexiteers belong!! :bag::hungry:
