Should I register domains at $1k+ by Godaddy Appraisals?

Hi there

I do my own researches then I have a list of many good domains, almost of them are COM less than 9 characters with 1 or 2 words only, some other extensions are 3 chars. And certainly, all domains of this list are $1k+ by Godaddy Appraisal, even some are $1k7+.

And beyond these good domains, during researches, I excluded hundreds thousand of variants that not good & below $1k.

Please give me an advice for this list, because I'm new beginner at this industry; and I just try with a few famous words but this list contains 50+ domains, so if I do more researches, I thought list has at least 1k+ domains.

Dont use automated appraisals, they pick figures out of nowhere.

Check how many potential end-users there are for the name, because at the end of the day, thats where youll make money from the name. It's a waste of money having a name you can't sell.

Practically, Every Other Domain Is Priced At 1K By Daddy.
Chk Out History Of Domain, Weather It Will Be Useful To The End User, Study What Kinda Domains Are Selling, From Namebios And Other Such Sites, Over A Period Of Time, You'll Get The Hang Of It,

I dropped a 7K estibot domain, and noone else bought it.
I bought a zero estibot domain, and sold it for 3K.
Godaddy estimates were also comparable.
Most domains just won't sell for a reasonable price, even if great.
But I still like appraisal services.
I don't like appraisal services which value domains based on alexa traffic.
Why I don't like them: because endusers may use them as reference, and
learn about them in the middle of negotiation, think we are scammers, but not say it.

thank you so much for replying & advising, but I thought you was thinking that I'm buying expired & dropping domains, right? Currently I'm new so I only get new domains, never expired & dropped before; all they're new hand-regable only; so I really dont know which tools to evaluate these new domains.

Here are hand-reg domains I picked from my researches (com only): hearf, priAPI, BrandWait, CTRcoin, ABP3. hearf approved by namerific, and 3 featured by namepros auction.

Here are some of domains in my wish list but I didnt pick yet, then registered by someone: topso, mibut, brandoy, brandkin, nuape. This is just some, in my wish list (50+), there were 20+ domains registered by someone, so I think my wish list is still good so many people rushed to reg them like that

How do you think about 2 lists above? Please give me more advises, many thanks

use NameBio.com to get a reference in similar domain name sales , use archive.org to see how far back a domain names history goes, don't use domain evaluators or appraisal services to influence your decision on buying or not buying a domain name.

If you put the words in inverted commas like this "Apex BTC", it gives you the correct search, 18,000 search results

I personally cant see any value in this one, its also not registered in any other extension

I bought a name yesterday appraised at $270 dot com and left behind a $1300 appraised gtld domain. I know that I made a better choice I still buy gtld but not in every case.

Exactly! GD appraisals below 2k are very inaccurate, the higher the value of the domain the more accurate (to some degree) the automated appraisal is, but even with that there is a lot of garbage domains appraised above $2k at GD.

3k+ are probably valuable names but I am not sure without seeing the names, 2K+ domains can be garbage.

To be safe make a check list:

• 1-2 words max
• Length 14 letters max
• No misspelling, no hyphens, no numbers
• Category and niche are popular
• Think about how the domain can be used and who may buy it and for what application.
• Check number of TLDs taken for the name (use dofo.com for that) the more domains registered with same name the higher the value of the domain.
• Check comparable sale using namebio.com search for the keywords in the domain name and check past sales within same TLD extension
• If the domain is exact match domain then check the keyword monthly search volume (use spyfu.com for that)
