Hi,

What are the domains which is mostly liquid i.e easy to sell.

I heard that 4L or 5L domains are easily sold.

What about 6L or 7L or two words and three words domain?

Any ideas

What about two words.

How many characters are better?

Domain Name should be:

1) Easy to remember.
2) Brandable (one can think of any relatable business)
3) Short ( < 12 characters)
4) Pronounceable
5) Contains good keywords
6) No Spelling mistake

Check all these boxes before acquiring a domain then you might get a buyer. :xf.wink:

Another thing to add to the above post - If your going for brandables (it's by no means imperative) and to add to appeal to potential purchasers. Look at the art-work of the domain text.

*Matching word length 4+4 right through to even 8+8 word balance can add to appeal.

*Avoid if possible any leading word blending into the second word (left to right confusion as to what is the end of the first word and start of the second)

*Avoid any middle double lettering ie First word end letter the same as second word first letter

*Try to find letters that don't naturally sit together in that same mid-point of end of first word and start of second word (it helps clarity)

*letting placement that naturally uses double height in lower case also can help with the terms distinctiveness.

Just some of the tips above to the way I work, Yep I like a domain to look appealing to the potential buyer and it cuts down his/her potential 'Other options' when they suggest to me they will look elsewhere. To me domains need to be be like a beautiful women - Well Dressed

What about the word pronouncing similar. That is
naaty instead of naughty
Vater instead of water
Mubile instead of mobile

All are pronouncing like original word.

Is this moving in this market ?

Domains with incorrect spelling doesn't work. This is what my experience says.

Avoid misspells unless it looks REALLY GOOD in its own right - trying to emulate another word can work in rare instances of very short words but NOT in 99% of cases. These examples are usually where a letter is Dropped from the correct spelling (Not added to or changed)

The dropped letter is usually the last or second from last letter in most instances. The word needs to be short in order to highlight the dropped letter and still retain its pronunciation and/or recognition (again this is for Branding only) *

*This step can often get around TM class restrictions, so has proved quite popular of late

Misspell domain does not have a chance to sell but you can sell some name which has an extra alphabet in it.

I own this one Genetiics.com spot that 'ii'

Hmm, Yes maybe in Web-Links etc. But I think most don't want some hidden aspect to a domain

Dropped letter means?

Instead of targeting companies or brands, preferring to sell domains at low cost like buying a domain at $10 and selling it to 50-100$.

For this type of trade, what to do?

Even 1word .COMs are not easy to sell - if you expect to get BIG cash from serious endusers...
Very often it takes even xx years...

Liquid means: in demand by domainers.
Research NamePros - and you will see... what types of domains are selling here...

Enduser sales - absolutely another level of domaining.

three words domain?
In my experience, I have not had much interest in three word domains even when the keywords are stellar, in demand, and have big markets. Lesson learned.....IMO

What are the domains which is mostly liquid i.e easy to sell.

Oddly enough, you are asking the wrong questions to begin with ... the question you should be asking is:

What domains are most easy to sell AT A PROFIT?

It's easy to sell "liquid domains" ... but if you just buy and sell random liquid domains you'll very likely end up losing money to more knowledgeable investors and to your holding costs (renewals).

That being said .. the answer to that question is way too broad to be answered in a single thread. In fact ... the that answer of how to find the best domains to make a profit from is effectively what ALL of NamePros is all about. The answers to your question are all over the NP forums .. I definitely advise anyone starting out to take days and even weeks to read as much of NamePros as possible. If you walk or commute a lot then also download some of the great and informative podcasts like @DomainSherpa and @DomainNameWire which are extremely informative.

There are no easy answers when it comes to domains. There's a lot of technical information you need to know .. but then you also need to master things like marketing, language, niche market knowledge, etc ... make sure you take your time when starting out, as there are many many potential pitfalls that newcomers make which end up losing them a lot of money.

Best of luck to you! :)

Good advice. But you still need to know what a reasonable price is, so you need to know the market.
