Hi all member,
I am just getting started in domain investing after reading 2-3 blog post and watching few youtube video about domain investing. on youtube people show unrealistic glorious picture like you buy on rate of peanuts and sell on gold rate. i do some little research and found site like squadhelp and similar there are in same business.
So i look website don't know more about fundamental of selecting domain. i purchase two domain in keeping mind of what end user like to name his company or blog.

1. The Kitchenly
2. Startup Hungry

1st one is very easy to remember, short, catchy and any one can use this to build business related to kitchen
2nd one is good for blog or news media blog or can create agency who help small business

Your advice and view on this two domain is appreciated and pls. guide me i have come up list of 15 domain name idea how to validate this domain name before buying.

Thanks looking to learn from you experienced people

based on what you registered: either you read the wrong information or you didn't read enough information.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I think both these domains are worthless. I can't imagine anyone wanting them.

But the good news is that I also bought worthless names when I started out, and still do buy some terrible names. It's all part of the learning process.

I'd suggesting taking a look at namebio.com every day and reading through the latest names that have sold. That will give you some idea of type of names sell. Also regularly read domain news websites, as these have lists of sold names as well.

As a beginner I'd suggest sticking to one strategy and trying to learn it well instead of buying lots of different types of names. I only buy .com names, with a few rare exceptions.

I don't know much about squadhelp but in general I think the vast majority of domains on similarvsites don't sell. For example, a domain can be good enough to be accepted on brandbucket with a sale prive of $2,000+ but that doesn't mean it will sell. It probably won't. You can but domains that have already been acceoted by brandbucket for $10-$30, so that is probably the average value of accepted names.

Content Outrank doesn't make any sense to me. Who do you think would buy it? Someone could probably register a similar name for $10, so they don't have any reason to pay more for yours. But just list it everywhere and see if you get any offers.

It's very tough to sell recently hand registered domains. If the domain was available and nobody bought it then there isn't anybreason for anyone to want it now. I would suggest buying domains that are already registered. I have some hand registered domains but I plan to let almost all of them expire. GoDaddy auctions and closeout sales has good domains, but you need to take you time to look and find them. I think I've bought 3 this month, so about one a week after looking every day.

Read all the info on this site. Read 100s of posts until you get the hang of it. The more you read the more you'll understand.

When planning to buy a domain think about who would be likely to buy it. Some names sound good but they don't have any obvious end user. And also think about a sales prices. If it's a great name for a hobby blog then no-one will want to pay more than about $10 for it. When I started my travel blog I hand registered a name. No way would I pay $1,000 for a domain when I didn't know if I'd make any money.

And if selling to a bigger business they woukd want a great name not some second rate name.

So think about all these things before buying.

Hi

welcome to world of domaining...
where newbies, are the prey
it's your mind they want
and your cash...
for a payday
so be prepared to get confused
to get taught about the shovels,
the picks
and all the other, paid-for-tools.

my advice, is to read,
so you can learn, then you'll know

the difference between a discussion....
or, a disguised promo.
