Hello everyone,

I'm creating this post to keep you all informed of Epik.com Happy Hours!
Every day, we'll try to discount an extension and give you the chance to register & invest in this extension.

Today, we're featuring .US extension, and we're discounting it to $1.50 for new registrations starting now, and will be ON for the next 5 hours.

The following is a list of all domain names that have been registered previously before under .US, and are available one more time for registration: https://armored.net/index.php/s/t9rf2GLm4JktQWn

Remember, all domains registered at Epik include:
- Free WHOIS privacy
- Free SSL parking landers
- Free forwarding
- Free basic Wordpress site
- Free listing in Epik marketplace for selling/leasing

Here is also a link to ALL promos that we're currently running, in case you wanted to look into something different: https://www.epik.com/promos/

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Also, let me know what extensions you'd be interested to see featuring in our future Happy Hours! We'll do our best to accommodate all requests.

I have a question about Epik renewals.....

When it comes to renewing Epik hosted names how important would you factor in the about of market visits that domain has had?

@Rob Monster
@Sufyan Alani

and everyone else I would like your thoughts....

I would weigh that quite heavily -- treat it like a nibble on the line as if you were fishing. They did not bite down on the hook, i.e. checked out through the shopping cart, but they were inspecting the bait.

i would also pay extra attention to domains where the WHOIS count is displayed in red or where the WHOIS count is orange with a high count. These are also often domains in demand or are otherwise strategic.

PRO TIP: If you see a domain that has either of these signals, renew it for 2 or more years and move from PPC to lander? Why? You will cure the prospect of any illusion that you are going to drop the domain.

Brilliant response Rob

Have quite a few whois records in orange and red so will renew those for a bit longer. Also some of my hand regs have decent whois stats, in the green atm so will keep an eye on those before renewal time next year.

I do not use PPC, nearly all my names at Epik have your landers now so all good from my point of view

Is there a legend/key or something that explains what the colors mean? I have always wondered that.

Point your mouse cursor to the Whois Number and a small window with explanation will open.

These stats are very useful. What I also like are several details: If you sort in ascending order of Whois searches, just for example, and decide to change parking vendors or put names with noticeable results to the Epik marketplace you may like jump to the Nameserver tab to compare current settings. The previous order of domains (best Whois) stays intact, it is not sorted alphabetically new.

Please, would you tell me how to find that Whois number and those colors?

I had one refund at Epik few days ago, I made mistake during registration, one letter was wrong and I received refund two days after deducted for $0,25 which is ICANN commission.

I have noticed that only domains that are parked with Epik have some numbers of Whois checks, but other domains that uses different NameServers have zero Whois checks. Could someone explain to me why? All of my domains at Epik are newly registered. Is that mean that only domains parked with Epik can be checked for those numbers?

WHOIS count is incremented regardless of name server. The only requirement is that the domain is on the Epik registrar since that is how we whois lookups via port 43. If someone looks up the domains at whois.epik.com, we do increment that count. However, for an accurate count, you would want to be on the Epik registrar since then we capture all WHOIS lookups. If you are seeing some issue, just PM @epik or me, and we'll help you solve any domain-specific mystery.

The domains I mentioned are all at Epik, some of them are parked with Epik, others using different nameservers. So, you are saying that this is just a pure coincidence?

For people who think they will regularly delete domains within the 5 day delete window, I recommend enabling a tasting account. This lets you delete in real-time and get a refund minus the ICANN fee. If you do manual deletes on a regular basis, it will cost $0.50.

The only catches with tasting accounts:

1. You have to remember to keep the domain before day 5. If you don't, it auto-deletes!

2. You should try to keep your keep rate above 75% so we don't get penalized by Verisign.

How much do you pay for domain tasting -- the domains you taste and dump before day 5? I hear DD is charging $2 for that.

Can you try entering the code manually ?
Right click on the QR code showed on Epik.com
The code you will have to enter on your Google Authenticator app is at the end of the url, after %3D
So, if your url is ending by ...gubes1%3Fsecret%3D5ABCDEFGH12ABC3A
The code you have to enter on the Google app is 5ABCDEFGH12ABC3A
This is an example. Don't use this code, it won't work.

Gube,
