As a lifelong entrepreneur founding, starting and NAMING dozens of businesses over the years, I find the domain business the most fascinating business EVER!

I own a portfolio of over a thousand domains, most of which are two word business-related domains 70% of which are .com's. Like everyone else in this world I have the freedom to change my mind, and while I supported the new gTLD trend, I've backed off, and try to stick with the traditional .com's.

I'd say that 80% of my domains fit into a "niche", like domains that start with a keyword like "incredible", "Savor" or even the number "9" that's also considered a keyword.

So in the process of developing and branding 9Time™, and registering names like Heavenly9 and Devils9 to identify links where 9Time™ will be played, I've registered other domain names like, 9Commandments(.)com and Clique9(.) that have development and branding potential outside of golf. btw, these aren't new domain creations, but ones that have been registered for years and were available for me to buy for $8.50 apiece.

While researching domains that start and end in "9", I found it amazing how many domains that are already in use, or off the domain grid being held by hoarders and scalpers.

Anyone care to comment or have experience like this with keyword domains? How about with any other numbers? Thanks

Good observation. I personally enjoy the number 6 . Fell in love with it after since Carbon6 .com.

I might start looking more into this. Thanks for the post.

Funny... i just checked to see if Clique6 was available, but someone owns it and is aksing 99K for it on GD.
Since you like the # "6" and I like the #"9", the obvious wasn't available and neither was 69Time, the play off of my 9Time. Oh well, good luck with the #6 which I believe is an upside down 9:xf.grin:

Only domains that I have with numbers are 247 and 365.

There's the obvious issue of people hearing the name and typing in nine instead of 9.

This is thread #6 where you mention this name, so looks like you're back at it. Is it possible one day you'll just stop spamming this forum up?

From Name to Fame

Trademark vs. Domain Question?

Domains that Start or end with "9"

What's more valuable...a Domain or a Trademark?

When you've deleted all your .fun domains and then ..........

Supporting Cast Domains?

Thanks for commenting JB, especially your comment "There's the obvious issue of people hearing the name and typing in nine instead of 9" Gee, i'd have never thought of that, and I think I'll pass your information along to the USGA.org who has been promoting a Play 9™ initiative for five 5 years now:xf.wink:

I sure hope I can return the favor. Thanks again(y)

This number thing is a lot of fun when you come right down to it...I knew immediately the significance of "365" ie. 365 days a year, but somehow the number "247" went over my head until i was reminded it stands for 24 hours a day/7 days a week.....duh!

Lots of area codes are interesting as well, my area of the US is re-branding itself and one of the new brands I'm proposing involves our area code "757". 757 is pretty catchy for a number of reasons, thus I own a dozen or so domains like 757Brands etc. I also like the area code "321" that's on the space coast of Florida for which I own "321" names that could be used anywhere due to the countdown nature of 3-2-1.

Isn't this fun:xf.grin:

So what makes you exempt from being a hoarder yourself with 1000 unused domains, and when people here ask you about sales, you ignore their question?

Btw, When is the “restricted” status going to be removed from your account? Its been at least a year hasn’t it.

Listen Buloney, it's fair to say the entire community is tired of your half bully half clueless of any possible successful strategy in this space ranting. You tried to bully your last losing strategy - relentlessly - call all who questioned your wisdom as -just not that good at "names" or lacking vision to be successful - like you the name guy! hahahaha.

Listen, go back to NP archives - start around 2000 and follow each investment strategy (fad) year after year - and keep putting lots of money into each - get .mobi out of your system, get .info out of your system , and just keep going until you have tried all 20 years of failing strategy. Then come back and tell us all how to make money like you

early p.s, have you sold a single name yet?

Until then, I'll leave you with this:

hand reg names that no one else wants and sticking a random # on the front - is not a strategy and is not - leaving it there JUST NOT

Thanks for the inquire offthehandle. The "average domain" held by domain hoarders is held for over four 4 years while my "average" domain is held less than 18 months.

And as for me sharing my sales information or my lease/rent information, I've told you and others it's none of your business. Suffice to say, I'm in this business for the long haul, and you and others aren't going to dictate the terms:xf.wink:

I wouldn't care as much as Bulloney doesn't care

@DnameAgame I recommend using the "ignore" feature

hand reg names that no one else wants and sticking a random # on the front - is not a strategy and is not - leaving it there JUST NOT

well thats true ;)

@ThatNameGuy
I ignore you
so replies won't reach me

I've told you

Nobody is dictating anything to you. Do you have any logical reasoning or is everything this emotional stuff?

I don’t use an ignore button and rarely dislike anyones posts. I have been outspoken and critical of many things here, many people obviously don’t like that. Some people do. I don’t care, but at least I try to add value. I never brag about sales, or post self serving crap. Why can’t you see that you might add value here instead of doing what you continue to do?

Funny, you don’t have the nerve and didnt explain why you are restricted. I just noticed your post was delayed 2 others below showed up and came first, since you are restricted and it had to be approved first, lol. I guess thats why the position in the thread is now in between other posts.

I haven’t asked you sales prices, others have. Especially ones who are successful, and attempted in vain to reason logically with you.

It’s obvious you have an ego problem, and pompous attitude here and OK, so you admit you are not a 4 year hoarder, but rather a 18 month hoarder. As though there is a difference.

I just continually read the “new posts” search and over and over. For amusement, I read your stuff, laugh but havent posted for months anything on these spam threads you keep creating. Why keep posting antagonistic, childish nonsense? Others have continually asked you both nicely and not so nicely to act appropriately.

Maybe go play your 9 holes somewhere else and either add something here about domain news, or of calling out scams, UDRP’s, bidding, anything of a negative or positive note about Domains or of value- even if it is limited value. Your reputation might improve and the restriction lifted. How can a 70 year old person actually find themselves restricted like this? Do you have no conscience? Not embarrassed? I could have missed one, but I don’t think I have actually seen any posts you have made that were not shameless self promotion. Can’t you check your self inflated ego before posting?

There are other forums for that. Like some MLM sites.

Rather than what you are doing now, you might start a blog, where you can control it all and say whatever you want about squatting, hoarding, critical domainers, your far fetched ideas, your insipid domain collection, or your great success in starting and naming businesses, and then post a link here.

It would be nice to see you for once post something of value that has to do with business, since you feel you are an expert. Why not?

i thought you were joking, but after googling 9Gag and going to 9Gag.com and GD values it at 14,125 I get it:xf.wink: I have some pretty good short "9" domains suitable for branding, and I see where Bagger9 (see Movie Bagger Vance) is available.......ynot:xf.rolleyes:

Thanks smurf:xf.grin:

Wow! That was quite a diatribe. Pretty much everything I post "has to do with business" For example, my previous response to urlurl aka smurf was ALL business regardless of what you think. Bagger9™ is a result of 9Gag, but I guess you couldn't possibly imagine why:xf.rolleyes: I suggest you ask the likes of Eric Lyon, Bob Hawkes, Rob Monster, Marek Ekhaus or a half dozen other members about me. Maybe they can shed a little light on whether or not I have any value. Or on second thought, maybe you should just put me on ignore and save the stress I've caused.

Right, so what makes everyone else a hoarder and scalper is some arbitrary definition Bulloney came up with that surprisingly doesn't apply to him, because he has not been in the field long enough for it to apply to him.

Even by that definition, unless you plan to sell or drop every domain you will one day be a scalper and hoarder by your own definition. When that day comes, welcome to the club!

Please Brad...could you kindly stay "on topic". I don't intend to be a hoarder, nor do I intend to hold domains for 4 years like you. I'm sorry if you're offended by my "hoarder" comments, but they came straight from Verisign about your industry November a year ago.

Now to get you back on topic, do you own any numerical domains, either single or multiple digit? Any comments about yours or mine or others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've got a small amount of names with numbers.

I have sold a few names with numbers over the years - actually have one in escrow waiting for payment to be verified.

some 247, 360, 777, 888

I do have a few names with 9 (but 2 have the 9 in the middle)

All .com
9 i q
k 9 i (this might be good for a dog-related service)
C l o u d 9 S o c i a l

Thanks for sharing...actually I like all three even though 9 i q sounds a tad sarcastic. Your K9i could be used for K9 Institute (a school for pups) where upon graduation they'd get a K9Phd....sorry that's taken or I'd have bought it and given it to you:xf.smile: I like Cloud9Social...it has a good ring to it.

Have your worked with any area codes? Zip Codes? Country Codes? I just bought 757Waterfront, and I'm looking at a few more where waterfront properties popular.

Thanks again for sharing!

I actually do have a few zip codes. And also a few names that include the number 420 (that's a different niche of domain names...)

I own a few 420 too like, Drip420, Jolt420 and Perk420. I'm also looking to add a few more area code domains where where there's Billions of $$$ in waterfront properties to be sold. I actually just bought 239Waterfront.com that covers Naples and SW Florida, and 561Waterfront that covers Palm Beach south to Miami. There's a motive in my madness in that waterfront property is expensive and very lucrative for realtors/brokers who would be glad to pay for the exposure a domain like this: timcochran(.)com can provide. The waterfront pic's on Tim's website are amazing.

Again, good luck(y)
