I think, other things being strong, alliteration does make a good domain even more memorable and better.
I also like rhyming two word domain names (i.e. the ending has similar sound of each word).

Good domain wording has to work at all levels and valued respectively. in relation to current/immediate and potential markets.

Ntlds don't have an immediate or potential market above and beyond a few real clever plays - anybody that doesn't understand that has my sympathies

Lol (in a good way). Ok, well I'll accept your sympathies and raise you an eyebrow. I mean, surely current markets do not define good domain wording, rather they define adoption and usage? And in terms of buying and selling, sure, follow the money, but in terms of alliteration and creativity, one cannot discount the immediate or future potential of new G's.

And it's not just a few clever plays, it's much, much more. Take any alliterated or double-worded .com, remove the .com ending and put the dot in the middle of the two words. There's awesomeness there. There's a removal of an extra 3 characters there. It works beautifully.

For sure .com has its place, but why limit visual creativeness to just a single TLD? As domainers/investors, I think we should do our part. The market is only as good as our support for what it seeks.
