The best way to handle a transfer after an expire at Netsol, if you do not already have the transfer code, is to go to the NS control panel, turn off locking and request the code. You get it 3 days later via email and then you start the transfer at the new registrar.

Note: Netsol is one of the slowest out there, so 3 days for the code, then up to 24 hours before NS initiates the transfer on their side and then 5 days to transfer. I have no idea what happens if you do this right near redemption and the domain goes into redemption DURING the transfer. So be sure to allow at least 7 days transfer if you have the code or 10 days if you have to request it. I have not called them for codes AFTER expiration, so maybe someone can explain if they will give them to you at that point.

WARNING: If you have many (hundreds ?) of $1 names at Netsol that are set for fast transfer (FS), be aware that Sedo and Afternic have a requirement that FS will NOT initiate if your domain is within 60 days at Sedo and 30 days Afternic (somebody please double check, it might be 60 now) of expiration.

Example: You sell at domain FS at Sedo for $100, everything looks good, but AFTER they collect the buyers money they will warn you that you MUST renew the domain or the sale wont go through. They claim its part of their TOU. See this from a recent sale:

"Please extend domain registration
Please renew this domain first, as the registration is about to expire or has already expired.
The transfer to another registrar can only proceed once the domain has been renewed.

Please note that we cannot take over domains via push/pull at the current registrar if their expiration date is within the following 60 days. According to our Terms of Use sellers are obliged to renew such domains prior to the transfer at their own expense."
So you would have to renew the domain even if it was almost 2 months before expiration. While its not a big deal at cheap registrars, its $35+ at Netsol (unless you do the transfer trick to get the discount). If it is expired by even 1 day, they add $35+ as a "reinstatement fee" (not redemption, which is even higher).

So if you lower a ton of FS Netsol domains to $100 or so before they expire and some sell, you will have to pay at least $17.99 (more likely $35) to Netsol.

My understanding is that if you do NOT renew it, then you are liable to Sedo for the lost commission on the sale. Which is something like 15-20%.

Keep track of your domains at Netsol, many people here got hundreds during the $1 deal last year and this could really ruin your day if you are not aware of it.

I did exactly that and I've been sent an incorrect auth code. I tried it two to three times, every time I get the same "incorrect" auth code.

And this is not for one of the cheap $1 domains. It's a domain I transferred in to them that I own since about a couple years now.

I regret using Network Solutions.

Did you manage to transfer out your domain? I've been trying to transfer out to Namesilo too but NetSol has been sending incorrect auth code.

I called them and they say that they are not sure if I'll be able to transfer out a domain that's expired. Although I wasted about two weeks trying to get a correct auth code from them.

NetSol never again!

I have never received an incorrect code. But if you transferred it in to them, maybe something different is done than when the domain is created at Netsol.

Same here. Never received an incorrect auth code.

@NamesNewbie you may try copying and pasting the code from the email they sent it, instead of keying it in. There must be something you're not seeing that cause it to indicate wrong code.

The other day there was a user here that made a thread saying he has been trying to transfer out hundreds of domains from NetSol and they have been sending incorrect auth codes for many of them.

I never received an incorrect code from any registrar ever until now when I tried to transfer out this domain from NetSol.

Now I'm not even sure if the domain is worth all the hassle. The domain is Withdraw.online. I'd appreciate if you can let me know your views on this, because it's too draining to argue with NetSol's customer team to try to get the auth code.

I did try keying it in as well. No use. I double-checked everything. The auth code is incorrect.

Drop it I would say.

Interesting, guys. Thanks a ton for your input. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise then as .online transfers and renewals are already expensive so it definitely has to be worth it.

NetSol send me incorrect auth codes for some of my $1 domains. I had to talk to phone support an asked them to regenerate the auth code and they did it.

The hard part was to make them understand that I didn't want them just to resend me the same auth code, but regenerate a totally new one.
