sales .ORG Demonstrates Growing Power - Tops This Week's Sales Chart with $45,999 Sale at SnapNames

The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. The biggest domain sale reported each week is usually a .com but that wasn't the case this week. .ORG pulled off the upset with one of the biggest non .com gTLD sales reported so far this year. A second .org also earned a spot on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart, as did a nice two-letter .net. However, that doesn't mean the .coms were asleep at the wheel. It is interesting that the .org that led the overall list is not the one on list most of us, I think, would have predicted. I agree that volunteer is a superb name for that extension, better in my view. But all it takes is a very keen buyer and a steadfast seller to produce high sales price.

Interesting to see a .mobi sale at $4995 - that is pretty rare in recent years.

Quite a few fine names even well down the list, like move in .uk and sauna in .co.
