"reddit" is the Latin word for render, which among other things means "to submit for consideration or approval"

So is it still a UDRP risk ? Can you just trademark a general word in a language ( even if Latin ) . Also consider the s in the end making it plural.

It depends how you use it before selling.
There is some UDRP risk but I think it's defendable.
Surely don't go soliciting to reddit :P

Right you are blank. I suppose I cant point it to a site dealing with submitting bookmarks and voting on them .

Look - the point is that you should not even think about selling to reddit (or trying to).
Develop something interesting and sell it together with that.
Considering its meaning in latin there are a lot of things you can try with it.

Even if it's a latin word, it's too close in similarity to Reddit.com and will cause confusion.

Well, both of you are right. Its been on sedo for ages. Why didnt they just buy it ? I even found a thread on reddit ( actually found it on Google as I dont use reddit) 8 years old if I am right
" Does reddit know about reddits.com " . I cant post links, I see unless I upgrade my account

This just seems like a domain that is more trouble than it's worth.

You've got the constant threat of legal action, and no one's going to want it to develop on for the same reason.

Not even a likely misspelling, so doubt it generates much traffic.

I think its all typo but there is potential connecting it with another domain like youll.com and making something succesful out of it. Just my thoughts.
