Every day, Epik is dropping more and more domains.

For many TLDs, on day 36 of expiry, we send names through a Snapnames expiry auction. The minimum bid there is $79 which is high for some domains.

On Day 43 of expiry, the last day before we delete names, we do a reverse auction with the final price of domains dropping all the way down to $9 plus the renewal cost.

Every day we see great names get picked up for peanuts. Last night DrugAddiction.Co went for $9 plus reg fee, for example.

You can check out the daily inventory here:

https://marketplace.epik.com/daily-diamonds

The Epik.com team will post in this thread about particularly insane bargains that you might want to know about.

Also, for NamePros members, we have dropped the Backorder fee all the way down to $8.49. So, if you want to backorder at Epik, you can still get a non-exclusive but no-auction backorder for reg fee. For premium domains, the renewal fee is added to the backorder fee, but for a .COM, $8.49 is the all-in refundable backorder deposit.

So, follow this thread and we'll drop some backordering nuggets here.

How can we check if we have the namepros pricing?

My favorite drop of today is actually a goofy DOMAIN HACK. It is:

O.ZONE

However, be aware that this particular domain is a premium renewal from Donuts so it is probably a domain to buy and flip.

Sometimes people are dropping domains by accident. Last night Epik board member, Braden Pollock, was about to drop these 3:

dwiattorneys.co
dwilawyers.co
sciencefiction.co

I gave him a heads-up and he renewed it. However, those could have easily been drops!

Couple of quick observations....

1. when you click the "Details" button, the pop up window comes up but there is no way to close it. Have to hit the back button. Maybe an X to close the details window would be good.

The domain marketplace got a big update this week. We are gathering some feedback and will be making some rapid updates. Product feedback is mostly being discussed here:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/discuss-your-epik-experience.1146613

@Ala Dadan, the head of design at Epik, is holding court there and giving updates.

Also, we pay out "Bug Bounties" for folks that find issues/problems. For example, our "Pending Delete" list is empty. That is a bug. I just paid out $25 for that one a few moments ago to a domainer that was "tending the grounds".

How to check if a dropping domain is a premium renewal?

Do we contact customer support? I'm showing $199 (after logging in).

Sure, or PM @epik -- we'll use that for NamePros support.

It's a feature request, not a bug, but spend 30 minutes reviewing the Backorder UX and send me a private note with your feedback and we'll take care of you.

Customers are dropping more domains? Why is this, very interesting...

No, it is because our number of domains at Epik are growing -- the drop rate is probably not all that different. However, we do have customers who quit domaining and they let their domain inventory just expire. We send that through our expiry stream.

@Rob Monster you have eaudi listed as a daily diamond. Although it's a nice name I'd proceed with caution due to the obvious Audi part.

@Rob Monster If the domain is catch, but there are more people to backorder the same domain, what happens?
