Good morning!

NamePros is working on a lot of new and exciting features, and many of them are thanks to member suggestions in our Comments and Feedback section.

We'd love to hear even more! What else would you like us to add for you?

All suggestions are welcome, from small and simple changes to big and complex features!

Please post below, or submit your suggestions privately.

Let us know what you'd like us to build!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Neat idea! In the meantime, you could utilize your browser's bookmark bar with a bookmark to each of those sections. :)

Thats how I do it, I have a namepros folder on my bookmark bar.

Cannot tell you how often I will want to make a post in the Break Room and I have to go hunting for that forum though.

break.namepros.com or namepros.com/break and that would be solved

It would be nice if the search dropdown could have a checkbox for showing the results sorted by date, instead of relevance. I know you can go into the Search function itself but I tend to find that when I search, I am looking for more recent topics rather than those from 2008.

It would just a nice little QoL improvement if it was added. :xf.smile:

We should be able to add that in a future release.

Tip: Search Google using site:namepros.com keyword (e.g., "site:namepros.com crypto"). Google's search technology is much better than the one that comes with our forum software.

Is there any chance when scrolling a thread the thread title could stay in a bar at the top? It would be very helpful when going through auction threads; sometimes with several open at once so you could be sure which thread you are on!?
(It's probably just me that gets confused that way :) )

That would be helpful, along with our logo. :)

Tip: Hover over the tab in your browser to see the full title of the thread. (That works in many browsers.)

Better search of sales listings.

Search for a tag or keyword and you'll get post from 10 years ago, recent post (weeks ) with more keywords #tags don't show up.

Example search: car domains

A little more keyword weight, relevance with a default sort order of descending date would help sellers and buyers.

Tetrinet competitions, live auctions, and a namepros party, not necessarily in that order.

(y)(y)(y) Hey Bro .... Congrats and Happy Fifth Anniversary! (y)(y)(y)

Those who completes 10 years got 10 stars then why not 3 stars for 3 years completion and 5 star for 5 years completion. NamePros should think regarding this - whats your thought @Eric Lyon @Kenny @Support Team

Someone may have already recommended this, but start local chapters to brainstorm, recruit new members and to educate locals and end users about the domain industry.

A feature that would help auctions out, which are usually timed a number of hours after the last bid.

When you hover your mouse over the date of a post reply, it has an ALT Tag that pops up, this could include the number of hours from when it was first posted.

1. NamePros should add own statistics for sold domain names here at forum. It's hard to trace every single one sale, but the auctions are easy to follow. If someone want's to report to you that I have made a sale via NamePros, you could create account where to send those sales.

Right now NameBio offers only change to show sales over 100$ and I have never seen a record for a sale in at NamePros and my opinion is that this is one of the largest domain name websites. So, why NamePros doesn't have own source where to check out sales.

2. Charity Option - I did run a website where people can fund each other with crowdfunding platform and we we're contacted by a large US TV Network (News Watch TV) and they wanted to shoot an episode from us. We collected nice amount of money to poor people, sick people etc, so why you don't give an option to sellers and buyers that they can donate example 10% of the sales price which is made via NamePros to charity organizations? Of course NamePros can decide where the money goes. Example 1,000$ to one place, 1,000$ to other place etc. It's not all about the money. Money doesn't bring me healthful life, money doesn't make me happy and the most important thing is that we are all humans and we must help each others.

Thanks,
Sami Ketolainen.

I have not gone over 11 Pages to see if this was yet suggested or not, so please do forgive me if so.

I have been going over the domain Buy it now section (the standard one, the min $100 and the min $500), and over the last 1 year, quality of posted domains has gone down so much that i need to browse each day and most always i do not find a domain that is worth it at its price, and the even bigger problem, a decent domain at all, This is not just the BIN sections, this is also the make-offer and Auction section.

So, while there is one section that does have only quality domains, the TOP domains section, realistically, those are domains so good that they are simply not affordable for most and are often priced above $10k.
There is also the Liquid domain section, however, here we can only find LLLL domains and such that have a basic trading value.

I would therefor like to suggest, Namepros to create a new section, where some kind of approval is needed, where the standards are not put as high as in the top domain section... even if its a mix-match and auctions/buy/make-offer are all on one page and not sorted into 3 Catagories, just sorted by tags... i believe due to the sheer amounts of absolute unusable domains being posted each and every day, that it is time for a pre-approval section where one can list domains even if they do not quite qualify as Top-Domains.

Domain Examples from my portfolio that do not qualify for a top section listing but i feel are well above the average, would be: Bit.la/BitcoinBank.org/CryptoNet.org (These are all domains i have received $1k+ offers on on several occasions)

@maxtra always posts decent domains such as Happine/ess/home/com or char/it/yResour/ces/com, that would for example be a perfect fit,
Not saying all other domains are bad of course. these are just quick examples, there are plenty of domains in there that are good domains, but it is high-time for there to be a system put in place that lets us browse decent quality names without the need to go throu hundreds of domains that are utterly worthless in every sense. (No offense guys, no offense)

I have read that the majority of domainers on here are not actually making money from their domain investments. If this is true, and I think I read that it is the vast majority of members are in the red, then I think something that could help tremendously is to have a “Start Here” button on the homepage which links directly to the Begineers section. A small but obvious button near the sign in. Possibly most begineers don’t go to the beginners section ( I wonder if there are metrics on this?)
Another way to help get people to that section before they go anywhere else on the site would be to add a link in the original email sent out when people join NP. Maybe that exists.
Not sure if I should be tagging someone who can actually do something about it or if all you wonderful mods are automatically watching... just in case- @Eric Lyon

Perhaps a more prominent search box might help too?

A bump calculator or monitor on the post/thread page would be helpful for all of us. I've created a thread in the auction section at the 7.59 AM (GMT +6) and someone posted a bid on 8.31 AM. Then I have posted a reply on 9.55 AM when the entire thread was bumped on the top. After then at 5.07 PM I have posted a reply to this thread to bump this again (As an established member I should have two bumps allowed in a day), but this time I got the notification that says the reply was too soon.

So, having a monitor option on the posting page to view the remaining bumps for this day would be helpful for us.

I wish there was a way to upgrade account with a flat fee. I hate recurring subscription payments. So maybe make that an option?

You can upgrade today and then immediately cancel your subscription.
  • If you pay for a month, then your account will still be upgraded for a month.
  • If you pay for a year, then your account will still be upgraded for a year, even if you just cancelled it.

We currently do not offer a lifetime payment, but we'll consider your suggestion.

Thanks.

1. NamePros should add own statistics for sold domain names here at forum.

Most buyers do not want their recently purchased domains on NamePros to be archived, that's why everyone edits the sales thread title to remove the domain name

Personally, I wouldn't want names that I buy here to be put on a list

Suggestion: To add the ability to schedule a post to attract NP members who are active when we're asleep for better exposure of our Marketplace threads.
Possibly with Limits:-
1 - Limit to 1 post at a time so that there won't be too many posts clogging up bandwidth/resources/etc
2 - Limit to Marketplace area only since scheduling for other areas will just make things awkward (I think)

Please add a feature to view ALL new posts but without domain-for-sale stuff. The only practically usable link is https://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/ but this way I'm missing new posts in general chat, birthdays and the like ;-() ... It is impossible to use generic "new posts" link for any purpose, as an output is just domains for sale... bumped... etc etc
