Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Hi Frank,

We don't plan to offer this since we've tested having a contact form in the past and that doesn't convert that well but might later down the road as we plan to diversify our landing page offering with quite some additional options. The problem with offering specific options that we know won't work that well is that some users will use it and then have a lesser good experience with us as when they use our full optimized landers.

So there's a tradeoff here to consider.

Kind regards,
Reza

thanks, Reza,

I understand that you want the users to have the best experiences
which of course every user would want.

sedo as well as afternic has always served me well
I have no reason to complain at all
other than sales are low
( except afternic pays slowly)
( sedo pays next day )

I like undeveloped / dan for
their straight Landing Page,
listening to domainers
and transforming the feedback
into the best experience possible
and hyperfast payments

Very good company to buy and sell domain names. I am very excited about the future option for registering a domain name for cost prices. The only thing that could be better is that faster payout to the seller after the transfer of the domain name has been completed. Payout within 24 hours after the transfer is completed would be a good option.

Sold a small .org yesteday and it seems that DAN is still not handling push/pull on Netsol because even though they asked me if I wanted to do that, and I told them I preferred that, they still wanted a transfer code.

The other side was calling Netsol and them putting me on hold several times because "your account has too many domains and is freezing up our computers". It has 435 domains, thats not too many.
Meh, I'm glad they arent doing this $1 thing again this year, I would have to go through this each time I didnt want to wait 3 days for a transfer code.

Is there anyway to remove domains from the "Domains you just missed" feed? Or a way to opt out of that?

Hi Jimbo,

NS is horrible to work with. We'd rather instead stop supporting NS than integrating them at DAN because it's the absolute worst registrar ever built with the most unacceptable transfer locks in place.

Is there anyway to remove domains from the "Domains you just missed" feed? Or a way to opt out of that?

Yes, simply opt-in your privacy settings to have a hidden seller profile and your sales won't show. Do note when you do this that you will lose eyeballs on your seller profile as we're sending buyers directly from our homepage to your entire portfolio when your sale is listed there.

@Reza, when is parking feature scheduled for? Thank you

Hi Anna,

There's no schedule yet since we're dependant on the ad-inventory provider(s) we're going to work with. I aim to offer this service soon though, so the project does have high priority.

Kind regards,

Reza

Wow, some of the reviews for Sedo are pretty depressing. Dan's, on the other hand, are great overall.

Trustpilot shows the added value of using DAN. If you see the experience buyers have at DAN you observe a trend. The low barrier and ease of use that we've introduced is pretty unique. This increases the bottom line for all our sellers as we convert more end-users to engage in the secondary market by doing this.

I just realized if you click on your domain, there are links for your chart in the right hand corner, to show daily, weekly or monthly visitors. The links don't really stand out or even look like they are links. Putting them in color would help.

One cool feature for those of us that use BIN a lot would be the ability to bulk decrease or increase prices by e.g. 10 percent and also set the minimum offer to a certain percentage of the BIN (Sedo has the latter option).

you can do that easily using csv export/import

Okay, thanks. But I am not good at that csv stuff ;) So if it can be done in my DAN account, I would prefer that.

After missing a couple of sales on Dan, by a couple hundred dollars, I reached an agreement with a buyer. Looking forward to how it goes.

I wonder if we can safely switch to DAN's nameservers now, or if we should keep on using Undeveloped's?

Well wouldn’t you know it, there was a problem. Friday the buyer clicked the buy now button, but afterwards he decided he wanted to use the four month installment plan. This sale was a little over $1K. So...Dan had to cancel that transaction and start over. They gave me the owner’s name and email. I contacted him over the weekend and he said he would re try today with the installment service. Super nice guy. Transaction went thru and in the process of transferring with GD push.

Hi @Reza , why is there unnecessary delay in closing transactions and issuing payouts? It happened once back in April that, for a transaction (Harness.co) closed on Thursday and the payout issued on Friday, I had to inquire again on following Monday.

A similar thing just happened for a transaction (Reuben.co) that closed on Thursday (Jul/25) and the payout also issued on Thursday but I am receiving message from Paypal only on Monday.

Another similar thing happened for a transaction (VisitingCardDesign.com) where the domain was pushed on Friday (Jul/26) but the transaction is still waiting to be closed on Tuesday and payout will take another 24 hours. As you can see in the screenshot, your support doesn't even bother to answer any questions. And it seems that you are intentionally delaying payouts for 2-3 days.

This is quite unprofessional, exasperating for customers and most certainly doesn't fit in your proclaimed philosophy of closing transactions within 24 hours wherever possible (in case of domain push to your escrow account). So, please either sort out these issues or stop referring to DAN as fastest paying out platform.

I guess I know that. The post is not about the weekend but about payout delays vis-a-vis DAN.com's policy. If DAN.com doesn't count Fridays as part of the weekend, the payouts issued on Thursday/Friday should hit the Paypal account on the same day. As you can see in the screeshot, they even apologized the first time.

Also, the third transaction is not even CLOSED yet despite the domain being pushed on Friday itself. Monday too has passed, but no sign of payout yet which will take another 24 hours. You shouldn't be needing to confirm this with them every time.

Let DAN.com answer please.

Hi Sunil,

I'm sorry you had this experience, but it's not the norm. I find it strange to see that you post messages between you and our staff here. I won't dive into detail and further research the cases you mention because it's not a public discussion to have.

Also, keep in mind that we're a fast-growing startup/scaleup with some growth problems here and there that will be resolved over time. This month alone we handled 30% more transactions than last month and that puts pressure on our team and (human) errors can occur.

Kind regards,

Reza

The message-interchange with any company's support is usually not under any NDA, they were published here for referring the timestamps.

I understand that you are a fast-growing startup with some growth problems. So, till the time these problems are resolved, please don't advertise yourself as the FASTEST payout domain platform. It would also be less frustrating if the support actually replies to messages rather than just ignoring them.

Best

Hi JudgeMind,

I'd rather see one of our sellers respond to your questions but I think this recent blog post from our Product Director might give you some insights about why our for sale pages help you sell more domains:

http://blog.undeveloped.com/english/a-neat-shop-window-for-your-domain-names

This blog post which is a tad outdated might give you some insights about why buyers love buying names through our marketplace:

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Take care,
Reza
