1) A BUYLIBRACOINS.COM WEBSITE Offered A FAKE Chance To Buy The Digital Currency, Encouraging Potential Victims To Share Contact Details Of Friends In A Referral Program !!!

2) Furthermore, It Seems That The GLOBAL FINANCIAL SYSTEM Feels So Threatened By FACEBOOK'S LIBRA That They Intend To Prevent It To Be Launched.

What to make of these bad news ?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
After the fake domain, I think they might be going after similar domains.

This is not new. Since Libra's announcement, a number of fake sites popped up and facebook and the association are aware and taking steps to stop that. But they are not against legit projects and uses.

Libra is a threat to the financial system as we know it. it's a threat to paper money as we know it .
Something this big will face unprecedented resistance, and facebook knows this long before the launch. They can maybe delay, but they cannot stop libra. Some things are just meant to be. The world is changing rapidly. Things you thought were impossible are happening.

I don't see any of this as bad news. But expected news.

Nothing but expected news, as already mentioned above.

I must applaud the guys that created the BUYLIBRACOINS.COM website if indeed is fake. They put in a lot of work to create it to be credible.

Not really. Simple template that can be bought all over the place, and with some editing it wouldn't take me long to publish something similar.

For unexperienced people I can see why it looks legit though.

It is not just the template, it is the functionality behind. Even if you take the template, you would still have to create modules, if not from scratch, using Laravel or any other backend, and that requires some knowledge.

Many people do not have the knowledge to do it, even if it seems simple at first sight.

So the functionality is there? I haven't analyzed it, but fake sites usually lack that. They only want to harvest information.

I guess you can actually purchase fake libra through their backend. You'll probably get some credit in your dashboard that you would be able to use when Libra is fully launched.

In the meantime they're collecting all the crypto payments (clever) and run for the hills when the time comes.

Basic scam. I'm surprised it's still online actually as FB/Libra is aware of the site

Fake suggests there are original. Two of Libra related domains I registered was suspended for fear of such reason.

Probably when I pointed it to Sedo for ownership verification and their adverts sent wrong signal.

Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg have enough on their plate already, Even if Libra launches I don't think it will be any earlier than 2021/2

More than 18,000 domain names have been registered that contain "libra" keyword in 2019: .

And the likely successful (decent) sale and development number probably around 50 and that's if Libra ever launches.

all the typos of Libra is money I think.

I've met the woman who's cousin sold Facebook.com

1. without a C
2. Without an A
3. Without K

for $100,000 a piece.

No sh*t thats unreal.

yea she introduced me to him. the guy carries a photo of the check he deposited from facebook. Just do a whois check. I might be wrong on the letters but I did the check myself and it confirmed it. 3 domains were owned by facebook now that had 1 letter missing. every variation with 1 letter missing was registered at one spot by facebook the 3 I'm talking about weren't from the same registrar.

and when I check the history of those domains those three were renewed renewed renewed then transfer to it's final destination Facebook.

Coincidence? I don't think so.

told me there was an NDA but it seem's he's not following it lol

Avtar629, by "owned", do you mean bought by facebook or facebook demanding to transfer the domain to them under threat of suing them ?

I think this was prior to any regulations on people squatting on typos. There's probably regulations preventing this now.

or maybe typos are the sweet spot grey area?

and no. He got paid. didn't see the check though but I do know "all of a sudden" he bought a house a car and had money to invest.

guy was broke as hell. so either he sold a kidney or became a gigalo. I'm thinking it's legit.

Typos of the word "libra" GOOD. libra+keyword and keyword + libra ( if they are anything related to crypto) consider it Ebola.

Not hard to program a site with advanced functionality. How many programmers are there in the world?

This site is still up 6 months later, they don't seem to be under threat?
