Hello!

I have this domain that Is really industry specific but will change the way steel industries etc works and the effect they will havd on the environment. It is a technique that makes everything less resource-heavy. It is mostly in labs now but will be BIG.

It will probably take 5-6 years before the transition to this type of production is in full bloom.

Anyone have any success-stories regarding really future industry specific names like this one?

The domain Im talking about is
Impinging/Jet/com.

Steel industry? Thats the type of industry where everyone kinda knows everyone, so they don't rely on digital marketing to make sales, and as such, don't really need keyword domains. You can see that words like steel.com, steelmaking.com etc. are all for sale, its similar in other raw industries – domains like coal.com, petrochemical(s).com and many others are not being used by anyone, there is no demand.

A great sale can be made with keyword of technology with vast scalable audience, something oriented at individuals or small businesses worldwide.

Yeah, I see your point and you are probably right.
But look for example on the domain stainlesssteelconduit.com selling for $7500.

And my point was not it just have to be steel. Is there any ”nerdy” industry specific lingo that have sold for much?

I would market it to the companies being hired to implement that technology.

Until then, host a professional looking blog and put everything you can find about this tech on it. Cover industry breakthroughs, events, everything you can to become reputable source. Don't forget social urls.

Yeah, that would be a real good thing to do. But working full time and having this as a hobby, Im not sure that time will be a good investment for me. I could however implement that strategy to some of my other domains. Thanks!

Hi

what a domain is listed for sale at...and the price it may sell for, if it ever sells, is not a measure or reason for you to make acquisition choices.

even past sales of certain keywords, are no indication that there will be a buyer for newly created domains, based on, or containing those keywords.

imo….

It has happened with cloud, VR, Holo, 3D printing, etc... most recently with crypto domains.

Yeah, those was some of the ones are was thing about.

But this is more like if the material of the screens in the VR would have been called ”Virtuablastic” then VirtuaBlastic.com would be regged. Are you with me?
