Yes, China has invested heavily everywhere, but they started in Africa, where it was easier to get a stranglehold on their economies, by bribing and continuing to bribe the ruling elite.

Sorry, Africa does not have the dibs on bribery in politics. The US is the most corrupt political system. The only exception is that they make it look respectable via propaganda and cute words. Congrats on that.

Then why are the Russian military playing chicken with US ships and planes? Think about it.

China does the same, not just with the US. Think about that. Anyway, games of chicken are just games.
Invasion...well, the US has invaded more countries than Russia. Think about that.

China, in the modern era, has invaded Tibet, Russia (USSR), Korea, Vietnam and India. They claim ownership over Taiwan, and are willing to invade if necessary. They claim all the seas in SE Asia, no matter how remote from China they may be, and are increasingly sending in their military to de facto claim the islands from weaker countries. They have threatened Japan countless times and initiated violent anti-Japanese riots, though they have been quiet in that regard recently, mainly because they have their hands full with Trump. They are a growing power, whereas Russia is a shrinking former power with vast empty spaces and drunk and broken old men and women.

I agree with everything except for that. Time will tell. Don’t understand the denials about Russia.

China
Russia
India
is the alliance i see running the world economy in 10 years

Alliance? That will never happen. India doesn't trust China, and the 2 countries have little in common except borders. China will eventually encroach on Russian land in Siberia. They already are in may ways. In fact, Japan is strengthening ties with India and Bangladesh (and other countries in the region) to reduce dependence on China.

Time will tell. I think the world is heading for a whole series of catastrophes, resource shortages, environmental problems, water, disease, economic upheavals. Almost certainly wars and civil violence will be a part of that - though it's not obvious where. Pretty sure that the post World War 2 way of thinking about power balances is becoming irrelevant.

Let’s be clear that this was in response to the Pearl Harbour attack that drew the US into WWII. It took Japan out of the war but still a lot of action took place on the ground in Europe that led to total victory.

England had it's hands full. It was American merchant marines that supplied the British, the lone power in Europe standing against Germany ( RU and DE had a non-aggression pack ). Without supplies and equipment from the USA, England would have failed.

When the US entered the war in Europe, the allied forces consisted mainly of the the US and UK with CA, AU, NZ and South Africa.

Also, brave American volunteers flew air missions against Japan in China and DE in Europe.

China is certainly an economic force, controlling a lot of US debt and manufacturing. In terms of military strength and political influence, Russia is the dominant rival. They are the only country flexing its muscle, as seen in air and sea power. We are only seeing the beginning.

Chin is in the ME, South America, Africa, building island in the pacific to control traffic / commerce. Without nukes, RU wouldn't be a super power.

RU hasn't even won a hockey game in three years. :)

I am not arguing, just clarifying. It is a fact that USA's entry to WWII spelled much swifter defeat for Nazi Germany and their allies. Hitler was developing a nuclear bomb as well. USA's being the first to use the bomb did essentially help to end the war, at least on the Pacific front. WWII was the last war won by US forces. There is no denying that all troops, US and Allied, were heroes that fought and won against true evil. But since then, every war was and is extremely dirty and without a clear winner. Where war crimes are committed by all sides.

LOL. But Russian and Canadian players help US teams win the championships.

Oh, and BTW, Russia did help Poland build an army inside their territory to attack Germany from the east. Just thought I'd throw in this tidbit of history. But after the war they effectively invaded Poland themselves at the same time as East Germany. :(

Sorry, but you are wrong about Africa. They are the most easily corruptible governments on earth and they used to do quite openly. Lately they've learnt to be a wee bit more discreet.

The deals that the Chinese managed to get from the African governments for all the massive resources they have are so lopsided, that I'm surprised the Africans haven't started a revolution.

I guess they are still too busy trying to survive from the poverty their useless leaders have kept them under since they became independent from their former colonial masters, 50-60 years ago!

In the sense of them keeping their population impoverished, you are correct. But in the sense of dollars being exchanged for favors, US takes the crown.

I am not freaking out. But just observing the news. Russia's rise is very evident.

You may be correct in that one, though I'd imagine that China may be just as bad if not worse than the US in $ corruption volume.

But Africa still takes the cake in the % amount of $ diverted from their countries resources to the offshore bank accounts of the African Political Elite.

All you need to look at is the amount of poverty and lack of development in African countries since independence, when compared to the amount of development achieved in the rest of the world during the same period... the last 50-60 years, DESPITE all the corruption all over the world.

The African leaders simply sucked all the resources they had dry, without taking their countries out of perpetual misery and dependence from Europe and North America.

Calm down, Russia is going nowhere

Look. I became a teenager in the 1980's. I came from Poland when it was under the Communist Russian regime. I vividly remember seeing Russian soldiers on Poland city streets. I remember seeing my neighbors fight police and military that answered to Russian authorities. The communist bloc fell in 1990-91. That was the end of the Cold War. It's been a long time since then and people's memories are fading or they even weren't alive then.

You're right, Russia is going nowhere. But they have the US right where they want. Divided and distracted. Plus a president spewing their propaganda for them.

Russia has moved into Ukraine. They have inserted themselves in US politics. And their military might and global influence are getting stronger.

China? Intellectual property? Currency manipulation? That's peanuts in comparison.

The cold war scenario will never come back again! I like the present, no BS, Conservative Polish government you have right now!

Russia does NOT have the US where they want. That's just part of the Fake News that is injected into people's minds by the Liberal MSM. They hate Trump, so they tell you he's Putin's bitch or puppet. It's a load of BS. Trump is not interested in conflicts with the Russians, because it won't help either country.

It's the bloody Liberal Fake Media and the Democrat sore losers, that are instigating all these false stories to get you and others all riled up against the Russian bear and Trump.

This is how I see Russia and the USA:

They will bark and bark, because they know that if they get into a real dog fight, it could have disastrous consequences for both and all the others watching the fight!

The Liberal Media however, want to see a real dog fight, so that they can then say: "See... I told you so!"

Fake news is a narrative that works in Russia's favor. If I were in Russia's shoes, making Americans not trust their own news sources is brilliant success. You are ready for custom Russia-prospected news injection that feels and sounds true just to your liking.

Russia is playing the long game and the current US administration is giving them the opportunity of a life-time. Russia has never been in a stronger position since the fall of communism.

You are loaded with bullshit. Where are you getting your information from? Poland is far north up there, away in the cold and from reality. That explains why you don't understand a thing about the United States. You are only spewing what you've been feed by our MSM who have all been compromised.

No one is getting anyone to hate MSM, they are doing it all by themselves. We're only watching them implode. Russia has very little or nothing to do with USA internal affairs. The 24 years of Clinton, Bush, and Obama is what brought us where we are today. They systematically introduced third-world's corruptions into our agencies and government.

They created loophole that allows American haters to flood into the system, including the media and big techs. Trump is only doing the cleaning and restoration. He may be everything you don't like but we like him like that.

Fake news works in Russia's favor? I see things quite differently. I see Fake News (especially the political one) being engineered and spread out by the super-biased Western Liberal Media in favor of Liberal candidates, not only in the US but in Europe as well.

The Liberal MSM hate Trump, Marine Le Pen, Nigel Farrage, Matteo Salvini, Viktor Orban, Mateusz Morawiecki etc. and keep bombarding us with only negative and false news about these conservative leaders.

Even worse than the Russians that are apparently feeding us with Fake News, are the Western Liberal Media that no longer hide the fact that they hate Conservatives and are bombarding us with massive doses of BS, in collaboration with Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Google!
